Former managing director of the IMF Rato was arrested at his home in Madrid earlier today on suspicion of fraud and money laundering.

Rato, who was already implicated in a judicial investigation into his stewardship of Bankia before the Spanish lender had to be bailed out to the tune of €22 billion (£16bn), had reportedly become the focus of money-laundering and fraud accusations regarding his personal wealth.

Earlier this week the former Popular Party (PP) minister did not deny reports that he had taken advantage of the Spanish government’s 2012 tax amnesty to declare previously concealed wealth.

There are few things more satisfying than seeing members of the elite being carted off by the police for having their fingers in the till (Allegedly)

"... the use of secret credit cards by board members."

What?

Secret credit cards for everyone who looked the other way?

I guess someone didn't get one of these "Secret Credit Cards"
that should have.... and they spilled the beans, as it were.

And then you have the next Mission Impossible coming out where it's "Ethan and team take on their most impossible mission yet, eradicating the Syndicate - an International rogue organization as highly skilled as they are, committed to destroying the IMF". Or as is implied by the previews: Terrorists.

If convicted I'm sure his sentence will only be like 5 years, with good behavior it'll be halved. It never ceases to amaze that people who steal and or launder millions, even billions, of dollars get such light sentences.

I mean seriously, read the asshats name, Rato LOL. It's on about the same level as Bernie Madoff, as in Bernie made off with billions.
