My Great Nephew was wicked into trains. I don't see him much these days so I don't know if he still holds his passion for them or not. Once he said that when he grows up he's going to run trains and be a cop. LOL

That's great.

I remember seeing people standing near train tracks with cameras when I lived in Indiana. I had no idea what they were doing at the time but thanks to seeing your videos I do now.

I bet Chooch, that you were into trains from a young age. Yes?

Yes I was!!! You wouldn't believe some of the accidents and some of the changes that I've seen in the close to thirty years I've been doing this. Everything from the dissolving of the operating division I've basically grown up with, to new signalling, to a handful of major derailments, to steam locomotives running excusrions in August and October. I can honestly say that I've just about seen it all here.

Simplified version:

To get cm from inches, just multiply the amount of inches by 2 and a half.

To get inches from cm, just remember that every 10cm is 4 inches.

To get millilitres from fluid ounces, just multiply the fl.oz. by 30.

To get fluid ounces from Litres, just multiply the amount of Litres by 34.

PS - If it helps? there are automatic converters online.... EG fl oz to LitresHERE

Sounds like you guys like to do things the hard way. Like what the hell???? LOL

uhm, We use metric. But we used to use Imperial.
So, some people (that were used to the old system) need an easy way of converting the modern units.

If it helps, just look at the one single unit that you want to work with.

e.g. If it's in cm but you need it in inches - all you need remember is that there are 4 inches for every 10cm.

OK, very VERY simple version....

Carry one of these!

(It shows both systems in one, and might help to get used to working "between the two"?)

Thanks Honey, but luckily I don't need to know anything with math other than using the system I already know or a calculator. LOL

Gorgeous day out there, but colder weather returning later in the week.

Hope everyone is doing well!

Hello everyone I am trying to do this on my phone so we'll see how this works, out but wanted to say hi .and we only have a few more pages to go, and we're going to shift over to shed 4 so maybe everybody's is afraid to post something because we're near the end of Shed 3. We'll have a great day and we have about 10 pages to go.

I know how that goes. We had that happen here a couple times in the past. Now they have everything locked down pretty tight except for the guest Network which doesn't affect the main systems.

We got an email from the IT gang on Monday reminding everyone to NOT open emails that we do not recognize the sender AND especially emails from ourselves to ourselves...

I was going to wait til the new thread to say hello, knowing my luck I'll be the one to end up closing this one! lol!

But

I'm Kaelci, and I've been popping in and out of The Shed for a while now, too shy to say hello, but Night Star convinced me to pop my head in and speak, and so here I am! *waves to all*

Hi kaelci!
Come on in.
There's a nice seat by the fire, there's coffee on the stove and beer in the fridge.
There were donuts but... erm... well... there aren't many left!

You can leave your cares and worries behind the door beside mine, you can always pick them up on the way back out if you want to, but...... nah!

Please be aware of the pixies. They mean well, but... well... I hope that you don't have long hair?
I'll leave it at that!

welcome home.

Helllooo, thanks for the welcome, but, oh no! I missed out on donuts?

I'll happily take some of that coffee though! (Been awake for an hour now, still feeling fuzzy, just happy my son is sleeping in for a change
)

I think I'll leave my worries at the door and... just allow them to remain there, may they gather dust over the oncoming years, fall apart in their neglection, and never bother me again! muahaha
