Yes, I am definitely doing my happy dance. Sooo sorry you have to shovel snow, ewww. How much are you guys expecting?

a reply to: TNMockingbird
Your babies are adorable!! Your meatball recipe sounds like how we make our mini winnies. (Although I like mine better with Apricot Jelly)

You guys are always talking food. You would think I would start gaining weight just by reading all this and looking at the yummy pictures. LOL

Please all join me by the fire

for cupcakes. The hearts are because you are all loveable.

There are so many comments I want to make and perhaps I will but.....
I had a semi horrific day.
I do hope no one minds if I complain a little.
Years ago I was in a category 4 hurricane at sea with out engine power. Scary, I was scared. Today I was terrified.

So the forecast says the bulk of the storm was gonna hit around 2pm. Great, weather is fine, walk the monster get some stuff done, 11:00, go shopping 15 miles from home. All is good, a little snow no wind. Roads are clear.
Got the shopping done, still in good time, 11:45, meander into my favorite thrift store, pick up a couple books and walk out, 11:55.
Man is it snowing and windy. Oh well I've seen worse.
One mile down the county high way it is a white out.
The further I go the bigger the drifts are, cars are driving with hazards on. It just gets worse and worse. I cant' see the damn road. At times it is dark as dusk.
Twice I pull into a side road to make room for a semi. The second time I just sit there crying. I can't see any thing but snow. I am scared that if I do stop a snow plow will hit me.
I was following the tracks on the road and almost ended up behind a semi that had slid into the ditch.
I am so grateful to have made it home safe. My "babies" got an extra hug.Adrenalin sucks.

Then I have shoveled snow for I don't know how long, on top of hauling wood this morning. Stupid forecast people. "Just a few inches of snow" You come shovel my two drive ways you morons.
Still recouping after being sick, my body feels like it was run over by a plow.
Thanks for listening.

Kittie thank you for the sandwich, very tasty. May I speak to you about choice of dogs? I don't want to intrude, but...
No the picture of Angel isn't her but close enough.
Gordi do you need a maid at your home? I can live under the staircase as long as you serve me food. Please!!!
MockingBird That was a beautiful scenario/dream. I am a "Euquaphelia" so the horse hit home. And a "tree hugger" too.
Night Thank you for the tale about your cats.
Martin I am so happy for you. It is a very short sentence I know. Hugs

Every one here is writing wonderful heartfelt, funny, elaborate things, that are like Northern Lights, "Where do I look?" It is all so beautiful.

Did you stumble upon that thread, as well?

I am a "Euquaphelia" so the horse hit home. And a "tree hugger" too.

I felt like a dirty dirty person after that! (It is no more!)
I wish that I could write what I see and feel as eloquently as the rest of you!

I am sorry that you had such a rough time in your travels! You made it! You are on the other side and you are home, safe...
I lived, once, in a trailer park in Florida. The landlord (mean old grouch!) came to me one day insisting that I rake the leaves...It was THAT time of year and windy..."But, they haven't all fallen yet", I say...

I am staring out the window at the clouds passing by, the storm threat has passed for us (there were some big ones predicted!) I hope my new friends are safe. Some are south of me and I am a worrier!

Hi Martin, I am usually alone here at this time of the day. Thank you for your reply.

I guess we all get our measure of fear. See, yours would have been worse, because you would have had to deal with years of agony. I don't think I could handle that.
I was just imagining me being crushed be a plow or freezing to death in the ditch. Doesn't take a lot of courage.

How are you? The dread doesn't just go away. I know that. We all ways wonder what is next? Hugs to you dear.

Scary!

It CAN sweep up (as I am sure you know!) and trouble (squall line) can be upon you before you know it...

Be safe! Keep an eye out!

Rain wrapped storms are the worst, especially at night...

I have been dealing with this on / off for about 5 years. I figure if it was really bad it would have killed me by now.
About 2 years ago I refused to do any more test because everything came back fine. Which was great but I am STILL paying on those medical bills. But the cycle really seems to be dropping things fast this time. When all of this started I weighed 155-160 (and had to workout and kinda watch what I ate to maintain that). I now weigh around 125 and am currently eating over 3000+ calories a day just to try and maintain this. I'm getting sooo very very boney, its just nasty looking

I have an appointment at Cleveland Clinic next month but after doing some research I don't know if I'm going to go or not. It seems that the crime rate around the hospital is horrible and patients are often the targets!!!!
Plus I hate the thought of another round of bills and STILL no answers

Sweetie I don't have the slightest idea what you are talking about?

I wish that I could write what I see and feel as eloquently as the rest of you!

You have a gentle and brave hand holding "the pen", just trust your self, you are a natural.

..... and I am a worrier!

I think you may also be a warrior.

Yay, no MS! I'm doing my happy dance!

Had a great day out with Linda. Had a great lunch, had a 10.00 reward coupon and got a quilted bag with lots of pockets for storing craft items in, and a couple of sheets of awesome stickers. The bag alone was close to 7.00 and one sticker sheet had different sized glittery butterflies that was 3.99 and the other had awesome decorated hearts for 1.99. My entire bill came to around 13.oo and minus the 10.00 coupon I only paid a few bucks total!

THEN.. there was a grocery store that had these insane sale prices on meats. Buy one pork loin roast and get TWO FREE, same with chicken thighs, huge package, buy one get TWO FREE! I don't know how they can afford to do it, but they have done it before too.
