I'm a Canadian living in sw Ontario, mom of 3 (including a set of identical twin girls). Grandma to 4. Not retired, but can't work due to a back injury.

This is the best group of people I have EVER known.

I'm having coffee...*passes Scully a mug*....you got any donuts?

I've had a nice quiet(ish) weekend at home with the family.
Weather has been awful, VERY wet & windy, but we did manage to find a gap big enough to get out and about, so we took
the boys down some nature trails by the river earlier.

I haven't been fishing in almost 2 months. I always tend to get alittle bummed out between the change over from open water fishing and ice fishing. I'm back in the groove.

There really are no rules. A bunch of us have been writing a story (collaboration)...and then we also just chit-chat, or talk about real life.
Sometimes I just come here and "live in the Shed", and putter around, lol.

Morning jacy,

I was going to go back to sleep, but I had a cup of tea and it woke me up. In the kitchen making cookie dough to freeze. This morning I am making Chocolate chip cookies.



Hey Scully, I'll have some donuts. Never had Tim Horton's. Watch out for jacy, she tends to hog the donuts.

It's getting pretty cold here in Scotland now, and it's been a bit... stormy too!
But we'll get by.
I managed to get away from work early today (Helped immensely by being my own boss!! LOL) So am just making lunch and checking that the fire is stoked here in the shed.

Hmm, just saw your pic (on ice)...you don't LOOK like you eat chocolate chip cookies, lol!

I used to bake...have lost interest sadly.
I bought a big jar of peanut butter...thought "I'll make cookies!" in a rare moment of feeling productive. So far, the jar is half gone, I just keep eating it off a spoon.

Peanutbutter is something in our house that sit's out on the island counter year round. If anyone needs a fix, just grab a spoon and dig in. Although we do discourage double dipping.

I started buying the large jars to save money. Then one nite, one of the boys got up in the middle of the night and dropped the big container on his foot. LOL!!! (I know I shouldn't laugh) Bad Mommy. But anyway I went back to buying the smaller containers and just making sure I have an extra one in the pantry at all times.

We like crunchy and smooth.

There is a very traumatized cat huddled in the corner by the stove. Told Sophie some crazed "ginger in a kilt" (I'm assuming that's you)...accused him of hiding donuts.
Had to give him some catnip, poor wee bairn....

Ah Gordi...you're from Scotland. No wonder I find you so appealing! My maiden name is Macdonald and one of these days I'm gonna get there.

It's pretty darn warm in my part of the world for this time of year....I'm sure snow is coming in the next few days tho.

crappie....I'm a "smooth" gal myself, lol. My back teeth don't like "crunchy" these days!

If that 2nd pic looks like you, then you're much more attractive than the bikini-girls!!

Scully...ALL the Shed-family men are appealing, that's why we keep them locked up here!

Do you grind your teeth in you sleep?

Sometimes I wake myself up and I am clenching my teeth so hard. My teeth will be sore for a few day's after that.

But it doesn't stop me from eating the crunchy. LOL!!

Thank you for the compliment. One day, one of the boy's were looking at ice fishing pic's on the computer, and he say's to me, Why did you post a picture of yourself on the internet? Ya know now it's on there for everyone to see. So I take a look and HOLY CRAP!! I realized it couldn't be me because of the clothing. So I have kept that picture to see if I ever find the person who it really is.
