yeah yeah yeah... I'll tidy up.... look at the state of this place! LOL

OK, I'm on breakfast duty.
Who's up for a wee Scottish treat?

TATTIE SCONES! (Potato scones)

I make my own using left over seasoned cooked mashed potato with lots of butter in.
Take a cup (or so) of the mash.
Add a little cooking oil to loosen the potato slightly,
then sift a cup of plain flour onto the potato and mix it by hand to make a dense dough.
Separate into "Tennis ball" sized amounts, then roll each ball out until it's 1/4" thick (6mm) circle.
Mark a cross on the circle dividing it into 4 equal "triangles" but don't cut right through yet.
Transfer the potato circles to a Hot frying pan with a little oil or melted butter and fry on each side for 5 mins or until well coloured.
You can then easily separate the triangles using your spatula or whatever.
Serve up with your favourite cooked breakfast items... eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns etc.

Here's mine from this morning:

After:

Yum!
Enjoy!

Chrissie is out on a Willow Weaving course today! (Sounds great!) to complement her forest school training.
So I'm looking after the boys.... What was that loud bang-crash?? LOL

Will catch up with you all later and WILL BE CHECKING for signs of a hangover!!!! ROFL

Hi Gordi

I'll try your Tattie scones. They sound good and look delish.

Carbs are a weakness of mine.

I did some looking this morning on the "USB Turntable". What do you think of this:

www.zzounds.com...

I don't want to spend alot of money, since I am the only one who really plays them. Once in a while the boys will join me, but never fail to remind me that I can listen to the same music thru You-Tube. LOL!!!! They just don't get that it's just not the same.

I love seeing this place active again! Sometimes it gets so slow I fear we will lose it and then wham, back to life!

Slow to get going this morning. Gordi, I would love to try your Scottish breakfast!

Pheonix! Sorry to hear about your pain, I know how that sucks being in pain every damned day! There are times I want to ask for stronger meds, but the stronger the meds, the more side affects and stuff.

Have a lovely day all my beautiful people!

That one looks nice. And OMG much cheaper. I will check and see if I can get that model in US. Is there any difference in the electrical output? I'll figure it out.

Thanks Gordi.

Night, LOVE that picture.

The power supply is the only difference I think, but the models that they sell in the US will have the correct voltage (110Vac) for you.

Hi folks, *waves to all* just came in from out of the rain and was wondering if anyone would like a cup of Chamomile tea with milk and honey? After the festivities of... was it yesterday? I'm loosing my sense of time, is that normal here?

Nightstar did call for magic potion when I arrived... it must of taken all of my regular worries away, thank you dear Night.

Had some chamomile and peppermint tea earlier peppy.

Kat, there are so many different ways of making stuffed pumpkin. Everyone I talk to makes it different. YUM!

Made a roasted chicken and a big batch of chicken soup yesterday. I'll have to defrost my light kielbasa and cook some of that in butter, apricot preserves and pineapple ginger preserves. Add in some crushed pineapples or pineapple bits and make some kind of rice or risotto on the side. Now that the weather is cooler, I don't mind cooking again.

Hope everyone is having a lovely evening!
