I already don't do nearly what I am capable of for my pay.

I chose family over stuff.

Of course! We have to take work and lifestyle balance into account also. But that's a choice for an individuals wants and needs.

Progressives have been in governments for over 100 years.

Why are the social problems accelerating?

Do you know what else was happening 100 years ago?

There is a bigger picture to progression that some make out...

And your countries debt, which is meaningless anyways because we all default on them or say "yeah I'll pay you later"...
Why don't you wish to see progressive action?

Why focus on the U.S. debt?

All the progressive nations are in deep debt.

Why all the failed economic policies and social programs?

How are the Progressive systems going to solve the problems?

Progressive accept GMO as a solution for feeding all people of the World. Still the evidence says that this progressive pro-science is harming the ecosystem and us. Progressive thought is that food should be plentiful and cheap, errors done but not fixed.. .

The problem is that we live in a society with a broken system. We live in society that glorifies "Consumerism". I am as guilty as the next guy. We make money and spend on the next best greatest thing and many will go in debt to get it what ever "It" is. We live in a society where money is use to buy power and foster our endless needs for material things ... our appetite is endless. Until we as a whole society decide to get away from that, we will always live in world with the haves and haves not. Like I say I am as guilty as most ... I like my toys and gadgets. How do we get away from this addiction and work for the betterment of the world? I don't know!

I didn't focus on it you did...

I clearly said "we all" meaning every country in debt.

I don't know, if I did I'd be rich.

But I know only progress will fix it.

How do you expect these debts to be fixed without progress may I ask?

I 've always wondered just what's wrong with "Socialist". If I can get any non-Birch answers, that is lol

socialism is slavery
how do i know this? because if you don't give of your own free will, then the law is forcing you and if the law is forcing you to give, it is literally extracting your energy against your will.

and the extreme end of it, is things like the one child policy of communist china, who knew the people had a preference for male children, resulting in the deaths of millions of female children, almost exclusively, and forced iuds. can you imagine american women agreeing to forced iud implantation?

Should progressives be accepting and understanding of people that have differing opinions and beliefs?

They are and much more so then regressives.

The big difference, in my opinion, between progressive/regressive; liberal/conservative; democrat/republican (or equivalents) is that progressives as a rule believe that people are basically Good and Empathic and regressives believe that people are fundamentally Bad and Selfish.

Progressives what to give people freedom from oppression.

Regressives want to oppress those who are 'Bad' and not in accord with their 'good' worldview.

Progressive has as much to do with progressing as Conservative has to do with conserving and on and on.

The word progressive is the new bad thing in america, they just changed it from commie, using blanket statements with no fact, just looking for an emotional response.

Sorry i dig your threads.

Again... I didn't.

I said I don't know quite clearly, but that it will take progress.

Now, for a third time...
What's wrong with using progress to fix the system?

Names change, definitions change, labels change.

Basically; if you want more authoritarian government control, ie socialised medicine, government mandated vaccinations, government mandated housing, food programs, etc, if you are for less individualism and less personal liberty, then you are a progressive, as I see it.

Don't really care what you call yourself, that's just how I will identify that mind-set and ideology.

what ticks me off is the state of african countries where the system is designed to keep them as poor as possible. we start a campaign to raise charitable donations, and by the time the money gets there, there's hardly any left, and then that is stolen by drug lords.
