For me it has to be the flathead screwdriver.

1 part citrus vodka
2 parts grapefruit juice

Simple and delicious.

What do you pour?

It's been awhile since I've done any drinking, but I always liked the Scarlet O'hara.

2 ounces Southern Comfort
Dash of lime juice
6 ounces cranberry juice
Splash of Grenadine

Southern Comfort gives you that warm, fuzzy feeling inside.

I like a good gin martini. 4 parts gin, 1 part vermouth, extra olives since everyone likes to pinch mine.

I also like the Vesper which is the classic 'James Bond martini'. 3 parts gin, 1 part vodka and 1/2 part Lillet Blanc.

A Old Fashioned or Sezerac is always great. I prefer Rye in both and NO smashed up fruit or simple syrup.

I make quite a few infused spirits and mixers for when guests come over so I can make them a specialty cocktail before dinner. I try to use herbs and other items from my garden to keep it seasonal.

Red Berry Ciroc Vodka & Irn Bru.

Although I'd prefer to lay off the alcohol.

I have never understood how anybody can drink gin. The smell and taste are awful to me.
But everybody has different tastes.

Anyhow, when I want to get the wife loosened up I mix 50/50 vodka and blackberry brandy shots.
For just sippin a drink I stick with rum and coke or seven and seven.
Of course there is always cold beer in the fridge.

I'm not sure what it's called or if it even has a name, but Jameson and root beer go really well together, as well as Jameson and Cream Soda.

Old Fashioned -

Bourbon
Angostura bitters
simple syrup
squeeze of orange (personal preference)
a little water.

Best Old Fashioned in the world - www.donsdowntown.com...

(yes, I've tried every Old Fashioned in the world and I can empirically make that claim)

4 parts gin, pass it next to a room containing a shelf which once held an empty bottle of vermouth, add two olives, serve.

I was thinking to myself just awhile ago that a glass of water tastes as good as a nice sangria, it is all a matter of perception, if you let it be. We must choose what we imbibe. What do I know though, these are just my words.

My wife used to say the same thing, she claimed it smelled like perfume.

However, I make several gin-based cocktails that she will happily drink and request when we have company.

20% dissarano, 80% Dr. pepper.

Seriously, just tastes like Dr. Pepper and you'll be drunk in no time.

I may be drunk, but tomorrow I'll be sober, and you'll still be a conspiracy nut.

My favorite was:

'Mr. Churchill, if you were my husband I would poison your tea'.

'And if you were my wife, I would drink it.'

We had a drink we invented. A shot of southern comfort, a shot of vodka, a shot of slow gin, and a shot of tequilla with some orange juice. It was called a slow comfortable screw up against the wall. If you weren't leaning against the wall after a few of these you were on the floor. A barstool didn't work, you could fall off of that.

Thank god I don't drink that anymore. Occasionally I will have a seven seven or maybe a vodka with grapefruit juice like someone here mentioned. The vodka/grapefruit juice seems to pick you up sometimes, it is like a medicine if you drink a couple occasionally. I wonder what it actually does?
