Am more inclined to believe channelling is the person externalising their own personality in some kind of self induced psychosis. When somebody receives channelled info from a being that tells them they're not on a special mission, haven't been selected by God and receive more realistic messages like 'you're a boring person and need to socialise more' or 'you're getting chubby go to the gym' I'll be more open to believe it's some kind of entity.

Even if it is real, how does somebody verify it is what it says it is and that it's being truthful?

Be careful with these kinds of messages, they are often tainted. two things i have noticed in a very short time of looking at there site, the question : ''Barb asks what we can do to restore Christianity and rebuff Muslims.'' is already decided, there is a clear division present in the channels mind about this issue and the expected answer is given ''DEFEND THE FAITH. ISLAM IS NOT GODS WILL.'' one very negative, dividing response, not an answer a being of love would give i am sure.

secondly they talk of being stationed in a reputedly haunted building, this would mean there ''mediums'' are exposed to all sorts of possible interference, draining, deceit and other ill effects.

The site is also of a fairly basic nature with little or no description of there preparation, methods, safeguards, tools etc...

Caution recommended

The website looks like a page from The National Enquirer. It's just weird.
The word "Christian" is misspelled, which is also weird.

So did east county San Diego! Got a SWEET mortgage, so I can afford the A/C. Hey, Hemet isn't in the drought area though! We still have standing ground water from the winter rains!

But, the California drought probably is God's wrath on us for Hollywood, queers and abortion..........

We are all Sons and Daughters of God. Jesus does not go to every planet in the universe as a human being...LOL

Jesus embodied the Christ Conciousness and wanted us to know our birthright..not to worship him...but to LEARN from him.

And the things we shall do will be even greater.

I find it strange that individuals that believe in a living God cannot accept the concept of contemporary messages of faith. Just because you don't agree with the message is no reason to shoot the messenger.

Actually it is more strange that people believe in God and Bible stories while at the same time for some strange reason don't believe in Sleeping Beauty, Three Little Pigs, Red Riding Hood story, or perhaps in Greek Gods such as Apollo, Athena, Zeus or Ancient Egyptian Gods or their creation stories... All are based on legends and all require quite a lot of imagination to be understood/believed and what connects them all - we have no proof for any of them.

At some point in time people stop believing Santa Claus is real... waiting for everyone to grow up and stop believing rest of fairy tales books...

I actually found that message less strange, but I didn't see it as Jesus the human. Jesus is the avatar of God in a sense. He would have appeared to an alien civilization as whatever He needed to in order to convey God's message. For us, He appears as a human. For Chewbacca, He would be a wookie. For ET, He would be ... um whatever they are.

God creates us in His image. God is whatever He wants to be. He simply is.

yup.

Bible says to try the spirits by asking if they believe Jesus is Lord and died for our sins.

Wasn't that the book of Mormon? I remember one of the big selling points of Mormonism when they came to my door, was that if you ask god for a sign to show that it's true and pray with "in Jesus name" you will get a sign from god to confirm. When 2-3 months went by and nothing happened, they made the excuse that some people wait decades for a response. I approached it with skepticism, obviously, but even when I did believe in god when I was younger, I never received any such sign. To me, it's clear confirmation bias. If you are looking for a sign, you will see one, whether it's actually from god or not. Since you are looking, you will interpret any odd thing that happens for a message from god. To ask for a sign and wait ten years, when god is supposedly all powerful makes no sense. Can't he just say Hello? I kept telling them that I'd believe when I saw it and after 4-5 months they finally stopped coming to my house.

Signs are often not recognized. In my case I have personally seen 3 angels and have photographed 6, one of which I used on the cover of my last book. Non believers will say they were photoshopped. I know they were not retouched. I would also point out I was a non believer for the first 60 years of my life. a reply to: Barcs

Strangely enough it was the opposite for me. I believed it all for the first 20 years. I didn't even question it. Once I got into my early-mid 20s, it just became increasingly less realistic of a viewpoint to the point where I could no longer believe it and stay true to myself. I don't understand why a sign would not be recognized. If it comes from an all powerful god, he should know exactly how to get me to recognize it.

One of the most disturbing prophecies, major earth quake in the Midwest is imminent.

Well its a good thing you posted it here on ATS than , because apparently prophecies come here to die in utter failure.

Wait, were there any asterisks on the story that referenced timeline?

If so than we should be ok anyways, its the other people in a different timeline that apparently get all the bad predictions. Poor B@stards , we cant even get them the winning lotto tickets.

a reply to: ketsuko Exactly, we must keep an open mind. Us humans actually know very little, but I trust my faith. Since my faith grown and I have trusted in God, my life is great. Our meat suit will rot one day but our soul will continue.
