Then let them flock to it when it is a irradiated wasteland. It will happen If both sides continue the way they are doing.....taking the rest of us with it.

i have never been to the Holy Land. I called it a desert. I was half wrong. Parts are nice.

But, I don't care if the streets were paved with gold.

If you have a half a billion people that hate your guts swearing to kill you.

At your front door.

Run !

I fear a war is heading Israel's way and I don't see any way around it.

So, here are my thoughts. I think anything is better than war so how do we avoid it ?

I see Israel as surrounded. Is there anyway to stop the inevitable ?

Here's my plan. Move Israel. Buy a nice Pacific Island and pack them up.

Why must they stay on that land. We can build an exact replica of that wall.

It really could be done. I'm sure God will find them being "chosen" and all.

I do realize this will never happen. Too many stubborn unmovable people.

But, it's certainly time to start thinking out of the Sandbox...it's not working.

If I thought you could reason with either side I would try.

You can't...

No worries. Iran will have the bomb within 2 years, then it's "poof" the problem solved. No one's going to bomb Iran after Israel has been reduced to lifeless ruble.

I forgot, we can only talk about Muslims with a detrimental tone.

Spank me I'm bad!

If continued existence is proof of a deities favour, i'd say Mr. Twain was forgetting the Hindus, the Pagans and several other MUCH longer lived, and still existing religions...the Jews didn't see them all come and go or beat them in the slightest.

In fact, some of these still current groups must be truly in the big blokes favour, as they predate Judaism by thousands of years.

I have never found a good solution for the ME problems. There are none.

The solution is easy, have everyone live in peace together.

But we aren't wired that way.

The Scorpion and the Frog

A scorpion and a frog meet on the bank of a stream and the
scorpion asks the frog to carry him across on its back. The
frog asks, "How do I know you won't sting me?" The scorpion
says, "Because if I do, I will die too."

The frog is satisfied, and they set out, but in midstream,
the scorpion stings the frog. The frog feels the onset of
paralysis and starts to sink, knowing they both will drown,
but has just enough time to gasp "Why?"

Replies the scorpion: "Its my nature..."

www.aesopfables.com...

That would be a great story if it wasn't so stupid and illogical. It seems to me that story seems to get used when ever someone tries to justify their judgement and damnation of others.... and talk about "in their nature" it is just in some peoples nature to contrive fantasy story telling to justify blind hatred.

He I got one too. "The only thing certain in life is death and taxes" it was probably the same author as that stupid story you posted.

And the Jews living in Iran, the second largest Jewish population in the ME? They should be dead now according to you.

No not possible. Their breakout period for achieving 100% uranium is the biggest most calculated and controlled part of the deal. The sanctions would not be lifted other wise, that was the deal

Why don't all parties to the conflict just agree to let eachother live in peace free from threats to destroy them or deny them nationhood? .

The Palestinians turned that down. None of the Arab nations want a 2 state solution.

Double post. I started one with a similar title a few years ago on the ME Forum

I used to think just the same. Israel is surrounded by millions of natives and hundreds of millions of Arabs/Muslims they are never going to forget that the Jews stole that piece of land. If the natives in RSA never accepted minority rule and they settled there in 1652, then the natives in the ME are never going to forgive the settlers arriving in my own parents lifetime.

Since I thought the same back then and agreed that Israel needed moving to the Outer Hebrides, something has happened, the Arab Spring. With the Muslims killing each other Israel is sort of left alone, maybe they are in a position they have never been in, one where there is no realistic threat on its borders. Egypt is managed by the USA, Jordan ver weak and at peace with Israel, also in fear of revolution and ISIS attacks, Syria..........Well that's all sorted for Israel (poor syrian people) and is destroying itself, Lebanon that's on the edge of civil war and going down the syria route, even Iraq is too out the game with it's own internal strife. Israel has never had it so good, plus its military is a generation or two ahead of its rivals, along with the new second strike capability with its German Dolphin class subs.

Israel is doing well economically too, its tech sector is world class, excellent agriculture and military exports. Its new gas production is going to turn it into a little Saudi Arabia. People are making money in Israel, days of socialist ideals with the plough on the Kibbutz is old school, toda the kids want to chase money. They need to chase money, life in Israel is very expensive.

So move Israel? Probably not necessary right now. The Muslim world is commiting suicide and tearing itseld apart to Israels advantage................. You could almost make a conspiracy about Israel being behind it

Nice addition, Thanks

For now Israel is not the focus. I guess I just look at it differently.

Just seems like the Arab Spring is the perfect time to get out of Dodge.

If by Nazis you mean people who are tired of Israeli occupation of Palestinian land and atrocities numbering in the tens of thousands, then yes. For a people who were persecuted for so long, they apparently think it's ok to do the same to the Palestinian people.
