Lone Star ticks carry a sugar called alpha-gal, which is also found in red meat, but not in people. Normally, alpha-gal in meat poses no problems for people. But when a Lone Star tick bites a person, it transfers alpha-gal into the bloodstream. As a result, the person's body produces antibodies to fight the sugar. The next time that person eats red meat, their immune system responds to the alpha-gal in the meat and they suffer an allergic reaction that can include itching, burning, hives and even throat swelling, CBS News reported.

and how about the fact that the milk, meat, eggs and other dairy we eat come from animals that are given antibiotics, creating more drug-resistant strains of viruses and bacteria.. it's going to get a lot worse

Are these random loose plasmids and extrachromosomal elements (ECEs) in the area evidence of the genretic engineering or do these things naturally occur?

The phrase "transferred by currently unknown mechanisms" might be indicative of the possibility of intentional horizontal gene transfer.

Most people already have antigens that target the sugar Neu5Gc in Red meat. Now, is that the same sugar this article refers to? They used to think it was the protein, but have further isolated it to the sugar of the meat. Most of us are used to this sugar, but eating too much meat containing this can cause autoimmune and histamine responses.

Antibiotics don't affect viruses. Viruses change through mutation and transcription. We are always going to be at risk from mutated viral strains even if we punched a global reset on antibiotics.

Antibiotics create drug resistant strains because the bacteria who survive them can pass along the genes that gave them drug resistance to succeeding generations or even to each other and other species via plasmid transfer.
