American arrogance. Probably what led to the result in this poll. We don't need you because we aren't like you. Pissing off the world. In fact YOU need us. Your resources are being depleted. To quote Ghostbusters, "Who you going to call?"

Since there were a few responses, I am just going to stick with you, since you seem the most offended by an opinion written on a message board, and the least informed.

I didn't bad mouth your country. I just said I don't think it can hold its own. I have been there, Victoria; beautiful country side, weird homeless people and prostitutes everywhere, maybe that was because they knew the US Navy was pulling in. I don't really know or care. I know better than to judge your whole country based on that one visit. Maybe you can find a lesson in there.

Canada isn't Afghanistan and the US didn't invade for the same reasons as Russia, so that argument point is self-defeating and irrelevant.

I expected a little more from a super-moderator, but I am well above personally attacking you.

It was just my opinion. Comical how easily offended some people are. Bad parenting if you ask me.

Anyways, that's the gist of my opinion. I think China and Russia would wipe most of your countries off the face of the planet and all the US would have to do is nothing, which seems to fit well within the wheelhouse of most of your opinions on the matter. I just see a different outcome. Not because the US is The Great and Powerful OZ, but because, at their core, most people are pricks and in large groups they tend to move aggressively toward what they consider weaker. I think Canada is weak on the world stage and would be a primary target, given the opportunity.

Take deep breaths. This is a debate, not me speaking disrespectfully directly towards you and your anonymous online entity. This is my opinion on the question asked. You responded to me. I retorted. You responded with insulting dialogue. Again, I expected a little better than that.

Canadian forces are weak but I dare any nation to try and occupy it. Come winter, you better hope your Russian or your dead and If you are you get along too well with our people to fight us so.... I think we will be alright

Dude... quite frankly your "influence" will not be missed when you won't be able to pay for extended military action anymore.
Try not to open a vein.

Again, you are painfully missing my point. I mean no military action anywhere. We just close the bases, bring everyone home, stop sending anyone money or food, and that pretty much solves several problems for the US budget. That will piss off a lot of European based weapons company financieres, but they will be busy not getting killed by Russia or China, so I don't see them doing a lot of complaining.

Since I have the chance, and you seem to be angry enough to do the research for me, can you explain to me exactly what it is that Canada does on the world stage. I mean, specifically, contribution wise, not just funny talk on angry message boards. I would look it up myself, but its Canada...so who cares.

Yeah. Because the Russian's don't know anything about fighting in the cold.

I don't see russia and china just invading everyone if we were to pull out of places.

They still know we wouldn't stand for it.

You are taking a hypothetical situation you are making up in your head and using it as fact to try and prove your point.

Canada is awesome, and pretty sure we get a good amount of timber from them.

I did not, but he said "you better hope YOUR russian or YOUR dead", then the dialogue just degenerated from there. But, good looking out for the miniscule point I missed on some random comment.

I bet people really appreciate that quality.

The entire premise of this conversation is hypothetical.

So we are painfully missing your hypothetical point?

Your point of America doing nothing at all militarily as our allies were invaded is beyond ridiculous.

We are talking just pulling the bases out of every corner, exaggerated, of the world. Not shell up and let the world burn.

But, good looking out for the miniscule point I missed on some random comment.

I do what I can when I can do it.

Not sure how you missing the answer to the point you were trying to make miniscule but hey, what do I know.

No food? The uk can grow its own.

Hmm. Victory gardens. I wonder what percentage of Americans would even know what that is, let alone doing the work. Then again the extent of American casualty in war is Pearl Harbor and 911. Not like the Battle of Britain.

This is not aimed at most Americans. Just the mouthy ones that think that the universe revolves around the US.

Hmm, the San Jaoquin Valley, I wonder how many people in the world knows where their food comes from?

Potash.

And you should care...global food production depends on our insignificant contribution.

I was there in '97. There were weird homeless people and prostitutes everywhere.

I am starting to get you all aren't really up on how debates and decorum work.

I get it, you don't agree with me, but to say that I lied, my man, where I come from and how I was raised, calling another man a liar is a heavy accusation and punishable by, at the least, anything ranging from a roshambo to the loss of several teeth. Let's be careful with the language and rhetoric ok?

Anyways. Canada. Homeless (they all wore the same color and had dogs. Somebody said something about a "city" under Victoria, never really looked into it). Prostitutes. I am not a pretty man. Lots of prostitutes.

I was there for four and half months in 2014 ... Sure every big city has it's share of homeless and prostitutes ... You should come to Britain ... But what do you mean by weird ... People down on their luck and the worlds oldest profession found the world over ... and I found less so in Canada ... quite the opposite

I apologise for calling you liar out of respect and not the fear of losing teeth which you would be hard pressed to do face to face ... so best leave that there ... I should have just said I disagree ...

However where I come from we call "A spade a spade" we are known for being blunt and not as apt to take offence so easily ... so yes I disagree ...

Ah. You did miss the point, that is very obvious. I apologize that I engaged with you. Please continue on your nonsensical tirade towards me regarding some statement you absolutely misinterpreted or are intentionally misrepresenting, that I never actually said, and then support that with irrelevant unsubstantiated rhetoric in a hypothetical conversation regarding an informal poll from a website purportedly denying ignorance.

No offense taken. Swing and a miss. That's what we say where I come from. Also, big talkers seem to type really fast...not really, I just made that up.

As far as the veiled threat...yawn.

As to the rest, all I am really hearing is blah blah blah. Nothing new or constructive. Nothing debateable. Just whining. I don't think I have been here long enough to start a thread, but lets discuss the ways that all of your little countries are complicit, at least to one degree or another, in all the things that you think the US is doing to you, and then lets discuss what you actually, factually think you can do about that as an individual.

Not sure why you hate canada so much, they are the USA's brother from another mother.

I hope you do not think I am against the USA ... I have never been there ... But I am sure that I would meet great people if I did as I would the world over ...
Yes Britain is complicate and has a shameful history of brutal oppression ... I am a British citizen but hardly proud ... I am proud however of ordinary people the world over who are just down to earth decent people ... but am against drum beating and wars that only benefit a very few at the expense of the majority ...

As I said earlier ... The biggest threat to Humanity is a certain mindset that has no borders and is multi national ...

I don't hate Canada. I didn't dislike Victoria. I had a blast the whole time I was there. Great beer, awesome strip clubs. Local newspapers, I know they did this in Australia before we came, announce US Navy arrivals and that tends to attract certain types of people (strictly in my personal experience).
