FILE UPLOAD BETA

Members will notice an "Upload" link in the forum toolbar above.

Members can upload files less than 100k.

The amount of space you're allowed is relative to your forum ATS Level, ranging from 125k, to 1 meg.

Try it out.

All files uploaded have the path of "uploads/file" for use within the forum posts and in your profie (for avatars).

I am getting errors of this type with each file I try to upload...

Your file ,Reptoid Head.jpg, of image/pjpeg is not supported, please try a different file

The gifs seem to work fine...

Try it again... I'm not sure I've allowed for every possible itteration of MIME descriptions for valid image files.

Yes, it works fine now.

when i refresh the "upload center" page it attempts to upload the same file again...
and when it's uploaded, it doesn't replace the existing one...
instead, it just lists them both...

Be aware that this is a BETA version, just launched tonight.

I don't yet have programming integrated to recognize if you're uploading a file of the same name as other files in the directory (I didn't want to get into the chaos of creating directories for each user uploading files). Once this feature is in place, it with automatically rename your file, if one exists with the same name.

For now, play with it... see if you can kill it... if you can, let me know what killed it!

So don't refresh it! (Why would you need to refresh it?)

BETA software will have bugs... I just wanted to get it running because some people were having troubles finding a place to store their avatars.

can you give an example of the path to paste the pics? I cant get it to work, do you just put

uploads/picture.gif
or uploads/picture.gif.ext
or uploads/picture.ext ?

I've tried them all n can't get it.

You need to type the whole URL address between BB code ballists :

{img}abovetopsecret.com...{/img} (This example works for a .GIF picture)

Notice : I've change [] to {} for the code dont execute, but you will need to use [these limiters].
