I was minding my own business earlier, when I came across this Fleetwood Mac performance of Rihannon, I had to stop what I was doing, as it just completely took me by surprise and I was awestruck, that's what I call giving your all for music.
It was a feeling I only got a few times, like watching Jimi Hendrix making love to his guitar (figuratively)

Maybe I was just receptive to the moment and some may think it wasn't all that,
What do you think?

What is your favorite amazing live performance where you just couldn't help but feel the passion?

Peace

Yellowman at the very height of his powers.

Brilliant, filthy, hilarious and unbelievably groovy. The rubber bodied bassist is a highlight too.

Amazing figure, Yellowman - inspirational and tragic in equal measure

I remember seeing a Bob Marley doco called Time Will Tell. They were playing Jammin' and the two political leaders of Jamaica came on stage. There'd been murder in the streets over who to vote for and partisan politics were tearing the place apart at the time.

As the leaders came on stage, Bob was smashing the song and a storm was flashing in the background. He took the hands of both men and lifted them up. Simultaneously lightning flashed and it was a breathtaking, goose-bumping moment of magic. 5:32 onwards...

In real life, Radiohead and Super Furry Animals at Glastonbury were great. Primal Scream in Liverpool were electric and Lambchop down in Oxford's Occy elevated self-indulgence to greatness. Roots Manuva played in Liverpool and the power went off so he freestyled for an hour with just his voice and a guy doing beatbox...that's dedication.

I'm not a huge fan of Nirvana "plugged in" but I really enjoyed their "unplugged" session on MTV Unplugged.

This one goes way back to when I was young.
All his personal stuff aside, great performer, and an amazing talent.
