I didn't get many and was only using a basic Cannon camera but it looks soooo cool! I set my alarm so I could watch it. I lied in bed and watched and then went out side for some pics. Oh how I love the moon! My son who is 22months also loves the moon! He looks for it every night and even in the day. He gets so excited when he sees it. He also loves Venus and gets quite upset when either are covered by clouds. He is so my child!! He likes looking at my huge galaxy book and going "ooooohhhhh" and it makes me smile! Future astronaut maybe?

I KNOW many on here got much better pics than i did with their awesome cameras! Please share!!!

Good Morning Mblah,

I woke up early this morning too hoping there might be a break in the clouds.

Thank you for posting your picts. Maybe others got some picts and will post later.

Is your little one up with you?

I used to love being outside at nite and watching the stars with my little guys. When they got older, we would take them out in the boat at night. They still love to do that. We have seen some pretty cool stuff through the years. Memories to be cherished.

Have a good day.

I slept in

Ty so much for the time and effort

My biological alarm clock is usually more precise so perhaps the eclipse had an effect?

Plus it's cloudy so I would have missed it anyways. I lose out on a lot of cool stuff around here. I'm glad you got to witness it.

You're welcome
they're not as good as some members will have here but they work for me!

No I didn't wake my little one for it. He's 22 months and if he were up that early he'd be grumpy all day. Lol he will find the moon today and tonight as always. I was going to take my telescope
outside but decided against it since the sun was coming up.

My son and I star gaze at night from my bed. There's a window in my room by my bed and I love it! I fall asleep looking at Orion's Belt, my favorite. He loves to point at the sky and make oooohhhh sounds lol.

Last week Venus was covered by clouds and he didn't like that. I told him she was sleeping and he cried! So I took out my iPhone and brought Venus pictuess up on there, he was happy.

I set my alarm lol I didn't want to miss it!!! I missed the last one and this one was just perfect!

I usually have this fear of such celestial events from past experience but so far this Moon had been awesome to me. Some unexpected things happened last night and well in quite happy with it. This type of moon brings change. I charged my crystals and did my incantations and well so far so good!

There is another one in september so set your alarm!!

Glad you liked the pics.

Eclipse is on now here, we are on the west side of Maui, I would say,the moon is 98% red, there is a little patch on top that is still shining, so it makes the moon look like Mars with a polar ice cap.

Still partially covered where I am.

Kind of a let down though, seeing it from a regional city. Last one I saw was from like the most isolated part of Australia and was a yellowish orange colour, with the moon close to the horizon, so it looked massive. They were saying on CNN this one was supposed to be a blood red colour, but I didn't see that, just a shadow over the moon. Still a pretty amazing occurrence though.

btw, awesome photo.
