As an avid sky watcher, I look forward to getting up before dawn to see this event unfold.

No doom or gloom from me.

I have just always enjoyed watching the sky and, even more so during special events such as this one.

I read about it earlier and thought to make a thread but, as usual, someone beat me to it.

Good thread OP....thanks!

Thanks. I really hope it won't be overcast. We've missed so many wonderful celestial events due to cloud cover.

I'm just focused more on what is right with the world instead of looking around every corner for the end. GOSH that's just so sad. As for those dreams. They come unbidden and I'm not sure of the source. I dreamt of someone throwing a virus into a river and the next thing there's a news story about just that. I'm more scientific in my thinking and have devoted many years to trying to figure out this God thing. I'm not religious but with all my studies I can't totally eliminate the existence of some cognitive force in the universe. Whether this comes from us or from outside of us the way the pieces fit together indicates some order.
Or I could just be conditioned to see patterns where none exist. What I do know is that the works of the bible have been rewritten or adapted to keep the poor or uneducated trapped in their circumstance and easily controlled with the fear of eternal damnation.
Burn at the stake anyone who accidentally discovers that people have a lot more power and abilities than they want you to know about. It's why people laugh at psychics.

7:45AM EST is already daylight for us so I'm not sure what we'll see here on the east coast. It will be better for California and the Pacific north west I think.

It's not rare. Total lunar eclipses happen every year.

Guess that explains why the human race is so messed up.

Very important heads-up on the timing here:

The article that stosh64 (no offense) quoted was from 2011, therefore the timing listed in that post is incorrect for the April 4, 2015 eclipse...

The correct time for the beginning of this Saturday's eclipse is 3:16 a.m. PDT (West coast/California), which equals 6:16 a.m. EDT(East Coast/Florida)..

If you know anyone who was interested that might not revisit this thread, you might want to PM them..

There is a lot of skepticism surrounding whether there is any true validity to this series of blood moons.. And even as a Christian, I acknowledge this is a wise position ( to an extent). It's so important to take everything with a grain of salt now, because the disinformation circulating around has reached epic proportions.
All that being said, what nobody can deny is what history has shown us. The OP covered some of the bizarre events surrounding the appearance of the Blood Moons and the connection to the Jewish people and Israel.
All throughout the bible we see that God has made it abundantly clear that he will preserve and protect Israel at all costs. He's also made it clear that he will reveal signs in the stars and the sky for all to see. It's getting to a point now where if we were to be honest, we ALL know there is a connection here deep down. It's at that point where one would deliberately have to be ignorant to not AS least call out to the Lord, and do honest research to try to see if this connection is valid.
Just remember, we can have all the head knowledge in the world and still stay blind if our heart is set on staying stubborn. Maybe so many of us are in denial that God is real and moving, because if we were to acknowledge that, it would have to force us to re-evaluate our lifestyles and repent.

Jesus is coming back soon, he has fulfilled every single prophecy to date. Let go of your pride and realize that we're nearing the end, whether this Blood Moon phenomena plays out dramatically or not is uncertain. Even Jesus himself said he would come back when nobody expected it, and only the Father knows the hour.
It's time we stop looking to man for all the answers but rather to the Lord

Bless you all

Amen to that!

I would say 90% or so of the people I know 'sense' something coming.

Unfortunately, probably about the same amount refuse to consider the truth they know in their hearts.

Thank you for posting that

Thank you

I did not even notice what date the information was posted on. I just figured since it was space.com it must be correct.

Nice catch lostgirl, I may get to see it now. I figured since it was after sunrise I would not even bother.

I owe ya one...

ETA: I thought they could predict these events centuries out. Whats up with space.com posting the wrong time in 2011?

If you want even more to ponder relating to this tetrad, especially the last blood moon in September, you need to check out the Shmita year.

Johnathan Cahn has done a lot of research on this and it adds a whole other level of what ifs.
Here is a short vid with him explaining the Shmita.

This Shmita year ends in September too.

1. Why is alchemy bunk? Please explain

Because you can't turn lead into gold without atomic level manipulation. Also, alchemy is the ancestor to chemistry. All the things that turned out to be real in regards to alchemy became chemistry when we better understood why that worked.

2.Explain to me how the ancients know less. Not by listing off modern achievements but by comparing actual information from both sides. I did say that heliocentrism was discovered by the ancient long before it was rediscovered.

I'm not discounting what the ancients did know. I just said that they knew less about the universe than we do. The ancients didn't know about exo-planets or even the complete makeup of our solar system. The ancients didn't know about evolution despite knowing how to manipulate it with selective breeding. The ancients couldn't harness either AC or DC current. I can keep going on. Just because certain knowledge that was exceptional was discovered by the ancients doesn't mean they knew more than we did. Alexandria may have had tons of books we'll never be able to read, but there is no objective evidence to suggest that the library contained anything that scientists don't know today.

3. The electromagnetic field of the earth has incredible effects on people. The sun nourishes all life and can burn our skin from 93 million miles away. So radio waves from Saturn couldn't possibly have an effect? Just because the language was different back then doesn't make it less true. Its quite possibly the rhetoric was different and not the intrinsic message. In the beginning god spoke the word. Word=sound=vibration=waves=quantum perspective on nature of universe. I may be reaching on the last one but I think not. You don't always move forward when you move forward. Sometimes we run with the wrong ideas which puts us farther behind.

The reason the sun burns your skin from so far away is because of the radiation it produces called light. Saturn doesn't emit radiation. And the radiation that stars that aren't our sun emit is too deluded due to the inverse square law when it gets to us. The sun is also MANY times larger than Saturn.

4. I hold no allegiances to any idea. I'm just skeptical about our very unskeptical view of modern reality. Ironic isn't it? That a citizen of our society prides itself on skepticism only to be critical of the things it does not believe in...

Most people these days don't understand what it means to be skeptical of things. A skeptic doesn't just deny things because they may be proven wrong at a future date. A skeptic wants the most evidence for an idea as possible before signing off on it being real. Science only deals in evidence. All ancient beliefs are just assumptions of ancient man designed to explain our universe. There is no evidence to suggest any of them are right and being skeptical of science so that you can push one of these ancient beliefs as valid isn't being open minded nor properly skeptical.

Alchemy wasn't about turning actual lead into gold. Its a metaphor. And anyway, atomic manipulation is how we do it. There's more than one way to skin a cat.

The ancients knew of heliocentrism before telescopes. Built the pyramids, knew about Sirius. They used science before it was called science. We stand on their shoulders yes but that doesn't mean we know better than them about everything. We built on their understanding but in some cases we ignored them. Radio waves from Saturn not radiation. My point is there are many forces at work. Radiation burns the skin (I know) but maybe gravitational pull effects mood or seeing a blood red moon provoked certain behaviors. We all know color has psychological effects. And yes when I say skeptic, I mean skepticism, like Greek skepticism. My point is there are an infinite amount of mysterious we don't know about our universe, its possible the ancients discovered some, and it's possible that we missed them. So we should keep an open mind. In not saying throw caution to the wind and be naive, but chew on everything for at least a second.

If they move the expectations from Easter-Passover to September, then they will move them again and again.

History of last 2 tetrads show the events happened the year before the tetrad.

In this case, I suppose the event (whatever it is) may happen any day from now on, and is not related to the astronomical date and hour of the eclipses. The event is rather politically motivated, may be religious, and we don't know it exactly. We can only guess it has something to do with several recent conflicts in Mideast and East Europe. A surprise nuclear attack (although not surprise for us) will surely be seen as kind of fulfilment, but POSTFACTUM. That is the problem of all major prophecies that they cannot be sealed as true until they happen.

Other events, too, that I will not mention here. Let mention the latest re-discovered interview of Malachi Martin about Fatima, in 1996 2 years before he died, where he speaks of involvement of both Kiev and Russia. He claims he read the Fatima third secret in fulness. I posted it in separate thread.

Well the moon won't exactly be blood red. Blood moon is just a current nick name of a lunar eclipse. It will probably be more a rusty color or even brown . The earth will block the sun but still sunlight will light the moon. The red comes from that light having to pass through our atmosphere first. There will be 17 tetrads this century. The first was in 2003 and nothing happened so I think we're safe this time too.

The only thing wrong is of course that what you see of ANY eclipse depends on YOUR position on the globe, a total Solar or Lunar eclipse is not visible to everyone.

Solar Lunar Eclipse Dates

Just shows you shouldn't rely on story books!

It all seems a bit pagan to me. What do religious types care what the sun, earth and moon do? Perhaps its because their religions aren't all that far removed from sun worship?

Anyways...

Pretty cool in terms of astronomical rarity though.

Oh man finally some doom porn with a date, so far this year we have yet to have any with a solid or even near guess to a date.

But I guess it can be 100% doom since it only says a change. But so far this is nearer then anything we had so I'll take it.

Now I need to go and double check the lunar calender see if we really are having a blood moon during passover.

Wouldn't be funny if JC did come back after tomorrows eclipse, as all the naysayers (myself included) and skeptics are poo-pooing the whole religious angle? Now would be the time, to catch us off-guard, as it is written only the Father knows when. Then us skeptics can start a conspiracy forum in hell.

In all fairness, this doom porn is being pushed by two money hungry Pastors. John Haggee and some other nut who's name I can't remember.

The guy in the video below explains it quite nicely. He mentions that the bible says the stars will go dark also and there will be an earthquake. (volcanic ash?)

He also goes on to show that the dates of previous tetrads were manipulated by the pastors to get the required doom porn needed.

Last he points out that Israel's feast days are based on the Lunar calendar, hence why there is some regularity with coinciding lunar eclipses.
