Going for generalizations and labeling an entire entity over a small number of people?

I'd certainly say that doesn't make one wise in doing so....

Look at history...Dems were fully for segregation and other *very* racist things. Should we revisit that? Should we make the false conclusion that the entire Dem/lib party are still that way because of historical comments, laws and actions?

If people were to focus on the topics, instead of this sort of childish social hot button crap, so much more important things would get done, we as a nation would be represented more - and the politicians would be too busy doing their actual jobs that they couldn't try to use and abuse labels and worse to pit the people one against the other....including posts of social media idiots spewing crap....

What's next reddit? 4chan?

Morgan Freeman, I feel said it best, with regards to racism.

You found the internet OP! Congratulations! In this magical world where people spew all sorts of vile garbage, it's not just "conservatives". But sure, you saw an internet message board and that means all Conservatives are racist. Talk about going on a witch hunt.

1.) How in the name of all the holy can a person be "illegal"?

By doing stuff against the law? Isn't that what defines "illegal"?

2.) Undocumented immigrants have been "flooding" this country since the Mayflower first landed without papers.

True, but they were not illegals, because there was no immigration law for them to break.

3.) Hate to break it to you, but if President Obama is a Communist, he's doing a lousy job of it.

I have to agree - but ALL commies do a lousy job of it. He's not really special in that regard.

4.) "Commie" hasn't been relevant since McCarthy got outed.

Commies have never been relevant - they've always only wished they were, but have been entirely unable to rise to the challenge.

5.) Like the hate towards Hillary. You do realize that a.) she wasn't in charge of Embassy Securuty and b.) more embassy folk died under Reagan, right? But as long as Faux News can get us all het up over this Ben Gazee fella...

So the head of State Department (State is who runs the embassies) is not responsible for the embassies they run? Is this a new rule or something? When was Reagan ever Secretary of State?

6.) Also, the Nazi comparison is nice. I don't recall her ever forcing folk into death camps or, you know, invading Poland. But hey, let your hate flow, young Jedi.

Give her time. The original Nazis started out small too.

7.) I like pie. (not relevant, but still a good point.)

I like cheescake - that's sorta kinda a pie, isn't it?

8.) You say "we" like you speak for all. The only thing I'd like to forget is your vitrol. And bad taste.

How nice of you to include yourself in his "we". Were you on his Little League team, too? Or are you just in the habit of inviting yourself into everyone's gatherings?

By illegally crossing over into the US. Very simple.

That's the gold standard for acceptable vs unacceptable racism? You're nuts.

3 out of 19 is evidence the party is "full of racists?"

I see all but three comments simply calling the man one of America's worst presidents and making fun of his name..

When one's philosophy proves unworkable. One falls back on labeling the opposition 'racist'.

Rather than seeing that perhaps the ideas of liberalism/socialism need tweeking, to say the least, they fall to picking the comments of a few and attempt a guilt trip on the remainder.

An act of desperation, from what I can see.

geez...tweeking?...let's see, 31 republican governors, a republican senate, a republican congress, and a conservative supreme court...right (rolls eyes) because all the government is just a bunch of liberals...maybe, just maybe, since the republicans control so much of the political process throughout this country, the problem is republicans

1. East coast "republicans" are RINOs at best... NOT Conservative in any way.
2. SCOTUS is conservative? Coulda fooled me with that Obamacare blessing they followed up the Citizen's United "Pro-Union $$$=free speech" ruling with.
3. Much of the groundwork for current failure was laid in Obama's first 2 years, when he owned the House and Senate. That is when Obamacare was passed, the TSA was given rape-rights, and bailed out the auto industry at the begging of their voter-base member unions. The last 4 years have consisted of damage control, and the GOP has done a piss poor job of it with Boehner bending over to Obama's every whim after providing just enough resistance in the beginning to appear "hard to get." While Obama was chasing him around his desk, though, Boehner knew that a little skirt flip up here to show some lace and an "accidental" dress slip to show off his decolatage would keep Obama chasing before Boehner finally gave in to give the president what he wanted all along.

Both parties in DC right now are hogcrap. The Democrats are far left liberals and the GOP are marginalized Republicans who try to be socially conservative, financially frivolous, and intellectualy incongruous.

You really buy into that or is it just another talking point?

If the Supreme Court is 'conservative', I'm Daffy Duck. Few claim the Republicans are 'conservative'....unless your a liberal. That's why the term RINO.

Liberalism has fully infested the Republican party, from what I can see. I didn't say 'democrats' I said Liberal/Socialists.

The majority those "Republicans" have is new, a few months in office at best. They're a reaction to the mishandling we've suffered at the hands of the liberals (to use the nice label for them). It will take a while for them to foul everything up just as badly as the liberals have - but give them time, they will, just like the Bush Boys did. I know this because they are nothing more than liberals under a different label to provide an illusion. A more accurate term would be to call them "RINOs" instead of "Republicans", because for the vast majority, they are nothing like conservative, and are increasing becoming bored it appears with even maintaining that illusion.

So the republicans are really liberals and that is Why everything is messed up? Then why do republicans vote for them. This last election was the one of the lowest democrat voter turnouts ever.

In case you don't realize it, everyone is racist, even if they don't think so. Everyone is from some distinct race and because of this whenever they look at someone from another race they automatically go on trying to understand any similarities and differences.

Democrats for instance believe they they are better than conservatives. That they have the right mind and social whatever to make for a better world. Conservatives believe the same thing. Democrats (includes liberals and far end lefties) slander and name call conservatives all day long and say there's nothing wrong with that. And this is the difference. A conservative can know when he or she has overstepped but a liberal democrat cannot.

You'll hear a conservative apologize for the wrong he did. But you'll only hear a democrat liberal apologize that you were bothered by what he said yet not being sorry that they said it.

So while racism still exists today, I think the democratic liberals have it and show it more than conservatives.

Yes. I dislike the term "liberal", but it's one I have to work with. Both "Liberals" and "Republicans" are in reality "collectivists" these days. Collectivism and centralization of power are what they are both after. Neither has any urges towards conservatism.

Then why do republicans vote for them. This last election was the one of the lowest democrat voter turnouts ever.

Well because they've taken a large draught of the kool aid, of course. Someone somewhere told them that "Republicans" are still conservative, and few if any have even bothered to look under the hood and attempt to verify that. If they had, they would know better. Instead, they took it at face value and ran with the partisanship they were told to run with... failing to realize that it's the same partisanship, whichever direction they run.

In this last election, the Democrats failed to turn out because they were undergoing the same systemic shock that the conservatives underwent when they realized that THEY had been had by a Republican party that had abandoned them under Bush. Now the Democrats are seeing the same sort of disconnect in THEIR team.

The only thing left is for both sides to realize that "their" respective teams have abandoned BOTH of them, and are running in the same direction. If they ever come to that realization, things ought to get interesting post haste. we might actually get a couple of responsive parties if that ever happens.

I think the real problem are voters. We let the politicians get by with talking out both sides of their mouths. The problem is, we voters just want to hear same back and forth rhetoric. Do our homework.
