You generalise,
And marginalise,
Erode my nation,
Before my eyes,
This you've done,
Since before I was born,
Blame none but yourselves,
For my depth of scorn,

And now you ask,
For my blessed vote?
You may get it,
But take careful note,
Test our patience,
Just once more,
And expect someone,
To even the score,

Wrath so vast,
You have never known,
Chaos will flower,
From the pain that's sown,
So take my vote,
For good or ill,
But for each of us you hurt,
It is YOUR blood we'll spill.

Nice...

It's rough and gritty. I like that.

If we ever start our own ATS militia, this should be our anthem.

Its hardly the most refined writing I have ever produced, but the sentiments needed putting out there in the universe.

The primary function of Government is to pretend to fail.

Indeed.

If only they would fail in such a way as to positively effect our citizens, then perhaps the facade would not be as tiresome. As it is however, it is patently obvious that they are only efficient when it would be most detrimental to the safety and security of the people for them to become effective, and appear to fail in ways which can only have negative consequences for the realm as a whole.

I figured out that with two or three bills passed each week, which seems to be the average(I listen to Parliament on the radio) there must of been some 200,000 laws passed since Federation and just the laws of the last 30 years have made it such I no longer recognize this as the country I grew up in,what we need for the next 50 years is someone to repeal two or three laws a week.

I hate elections too. My dad told Me years ago, when I asked Him how do Ya know who to vote for, when all the choices suck? He said, "Just vote for the lesser of two evils." It makes sense, but is a shame it has to be like this......
