I like to think I have a good range of music tastes, the above mentioned band is borderline for me, they'd be best described as melodic hardcore.

Take a listen.

Thoughts?

If you haven't heard of them already, these guys should be right up your alley.

I hope your thread loads really slow now.

I enjoy Amity Affliction. I have been jamming a lot of music as of late from this genre range for a while now.

A few other good bands similar to them that I really enjoy are Beartooth, Crown the Empire, and Upon a Burning Body. Upon a Burning Body is a little harder imo though.

I would post some vid's, but I am at work with no access to youtube.

Good stuff though

They've got some talent for sure, I'm just not huge on the hardcore vocals.

It always makes me smile how the same terms get used across generations but have different meanings..

I grew up during the late 80s and 90s heyday of the NJ\PA\NYC sXe\HC scene. Back then when people said "melodic hardcore" bands like Turning Point, Lifetime , Shelter (certain songs), Vision, Supertouch and others come to mind.

Turning Point had multiple songs that to this day I think still hold up..Behind This Wall (first song played in the link below) , Broken (4th song that starts off with acoustic guitar) and others really bring me back to the days of going to shows at City Gardens in Trenton, MiddleSex County College or Revival in Philadelphia.

The video looks like the perfect recipe for electrocution. The music was good.

Can't forget these guys! Definitely one of my favorite bands! The Faceless have some intense themes.
