We could always hire a pilot to fly us south. Don't you think people have done that though? We see from those vids that commercial air flights don't go straight south to go to Australia which would be the quickest way, making what should be a 12 hour flight become over 24 hours. I'm assuming a person who owns their own plane would go south though.

So its had to have been done. If those people encountered problems it would have been leaked out and talked about. Unless of course, TPTB got ahold of those people and shut them up....

Is there any possibility what so ever, that the routes taken by airlines are merely those which keep them in maximum amount of contact with ground radar stations, for as much of the journey as possible?

Reasonable suggestion. I would imagine that it also relates to flying a route that is generally accessible to rescue efforts should the need arise. It's a lot easier to sent ships across the ocean than to send rescuers across the most hostile environment on surface of the planet.

Yes, yes. A definite possibility.

How does geometry sound?

How to Determine the Earth's Circumference

This was figured out around the 3rd century BC.

Lol u still don't get it

You could do that same calculation on the top of the super dome

or any arch

That in no way makes the super dome round

This was a dressed a page or two ago.

Which shows you have no interest in this

Thought exercise

so why even take part?

Well, you can hardly blame Krazysh0t for missing a post or two.

And let's face it, no one can explain why it is, that some stars are visible from the Southern Hemisphere, which are not visible from the northern, and vice versa, unless of course, the Earth happens to be spherical of course.

Yes, but that would set the circumference at the measurement of the edge of the theoretical domed disc. Around the antarctic barrier. But evidence does not support that the maximum circumference lies anywhere north or south of the equator. So there's an inherent disconnect in the argument.

Again OP I truly want to thank you for this wonderful journey. And it might even be better that you are a bot, that also might explain why your kin have come here to hammer you so mercifully. Hang in there

As I have read this thread no one has mentioned flat earth from the perspective of, the saturn moon matrix, or the concave earth glass sky, Google/youtube those terms.

As a Welder I found this* guys perspective/theory about earth being a grid iron very interesting. However I really had to dig through his page to extract the idea. * QuasiLuminous on youtube.

Again I don't know whats going on here, but I do know an open mind/heart is key.

Like people have said here, we only have what others tell us. Which is heresy, isn't it?

No, that is Hearsay. Heresy is quite different.

Where are the edges of the earth then? All of these experiments to prove the roundness of the planet can be reproduced anywhere on the planet. A half sphere would have to have an edge somewhere, yet no edges exist.

have u even read this thread?

the edges would be anartica

and it doesnt have to be half a sphere.

something like this

That doesn't make any sense. How could Antarctica be the only edge?

It does from a concept point

Just like any map would show you

Take a map of the earth. Now does Antarctica st reach half way across the bottom?

No it is unferled so the edges appear to be at the bottom.

In reality u have to wrap the edges to make them touch to show the shape

Same works for a "flat earth"

Well let me go out on a ledge here

Ever seen those crackerjack cards with the moving image?

You know the ones that have two images that change when you tilt them slightly?

Same concept could apply.

Now from the "northern hemisphere" your would see one picture of the sky

While from the "southern hemisphere" your would see the other

Keep in mind this is just a top of the head idea but it would work

My point was that you can't only have 1 edge, you have to have an edge to North, South, East, and West otherwise the "flat earth" is infinite. Where are the other 3 edges?

That would suggest that not only is the earth flat, but that humanity is split up between two sides of it...

That seems to be a pretty loose translation of the word "work".

um yes u can . like the rim of a glass . a circle. thats like saying the from a top down perspective the superdome needs multiple edges

no its a circle. one edge is all u need. with antartica wrapped around the inside

a reply to: TrueBrit

no that was just simplified for the sake of showing the concept

they make those cards with multiple edges you know

it dosnt have to be two

a reply to: sputniksteve

but as a concept it does work

you could also make those edges with ,for examples sake, 5 ridge sections so every five ridges shows a picture. this would give u 5 pictures in both north and south depending on which side you were viewing it from

many ways to go about this
