Other nations have their own ways to spread dis information

The IP filters you speak of sound a good idea in principle ... regarding organised trolling ... if they could eliminate multi profiles etc ... though I expect the culprits of Trolling would find a way around it

There is certain IP range for commercial pages, certain IP range to porn sites etc. I believe there is also certain IP range for state owned domains. You can easily block certain IP ranges in your own computer without extra tools.

I can agree other countries have trolls. But the Russian trolls are far more prevalent and far more organized.

But far less effective because their propaganda doesn't work on western people like it does on Russians.

Are you an American? If so, would that not make your opinion slightly biased? You are just mad that people are not siding with YOUR country.

I have not witnessed anything like what you have mentioned in Russia, but I have never been there. I have never been in then US (4 hours drive to Seattle airport and back,once) but from what I can see on these boards is that the KGB might not come get you for saying the wrong thing, but here the public community is the ones that assault posters with dislike and name calling and there is never any help from an authority here unless you are pro American.

It might go down differently in Russia than the US, but the results are the same.

The only thing which is hitting me close is the cover up of atrocities by The West.

...and either this forum is filled with paranoid Americans, or there are lots of Western paid posters who try to manipulate readers their fears so they can cover up those atrocities.

Having seen how comment sections in The Netherlands and Germany, which are not infected with paid posters, and how they are actually evolving in these matters...there are only two options left, either Americans are paranoid as hell, or it`s a common tactic to try and discredit members by making the impression there are a bunch here on this forum.

And because a bunch think I am, but I `m not, the only logical conclusion can be after that, either paranoid or a deliberate tactic.

So what is it ?
