I asked earlier in the thread but, it may have gone unnoticed.

Do you have experience in the subject matter to base your opinions on or, are you basing your opinions on the general notion that marijuana is just bad because that is what you have read or heard?

Been around a lot of stoners, seen what it does to them, family members and friends.
It consumes them. The only time they are at peace is if they have a sizeable stash to last them quite a while.

So I assume that is a "NO".

In that case, you have no idea what you are truly talking about. I mean "truly" talking about.

Why are you so hell bent on judging something that you have no true testament for judgement?

You lost any argument you are trying to make and I hope you realize that at some point.

Sure, you saw things. Guess what? I have seen a lot of things. If I haven't experienced them for myself then they are just observations.

Your entitled to your opinions....absolutely! But, don't try to make an argument and win with observations.

Nope.
Observation and speaking to people of their experience is a justifiable way to collect data in any field.

Your stance of, if you are not one of us you can never know is pure bs and most definitely a side effect of the imparted paranoia you are left with.

Your own avatar and title mention "sheeple." You should stop acting like one and educate yourself.

I was responding to, 21 years of combined on the job pot smoking, by another member. That is a clear indication of addiction.

Your "response" was derogatory conjecture based on your puny imagination...

& you've rightly been called out on it!

We should have a poll.
In a life threatening hospital operation then stay over with treatment,
Do you choose

A) the whole staff is stoned the whole time
or
B) Every care giver is sober

Only the potheads would choose A, because they are passionately and emotionally attached to the issue, and most likely will be stoned at the time they take the poll. A few of them may vote B from impaired judgement being more worried where the Cheetos are.

That leaves non stoners to decide.

Lol yes let's have the poll...

And add another to the list which most young doctors I met indulge in...

A night prior to operations they get lashed on drink and coca...

Give me the steady hand stoner over the amped up crack head any day.

Otherwise a circumcision could become a sex change!

Every crackhead started out with pot.

And they all started on Alcohol......

That statement is so incorrect on all levels and not based on any known facts.

Unless you talk to the head of the dea or such.

You are suggesting that as an analogy, that sex leads to hooking in all cases. For comparative example of course.

Ok, go find a crackhead who inhales the illegal substance that will swear they never smoked pot. Crackhead implies the non needle users.
Of course the catcher is, nobody will ever believe a crackhead.

Well I dont associate with crackheads and I definetly dont bother with finding facts to prove someone elses opposing point on challenge.

You made the statement. Back it up with something..

This is too easy,

Long-term studies of high school students’ patterns of drug use show that most young people who use other drugs have tried marijuana, alcohol, or tobacco first. For example, young people who have used marijuana are at greater risk of using coc aine than are those who have not used marijuana. We also know from animal studies that rats previously administered THC show heightened brain activation not only when further exposed to THC but also when exposed to other drugs such as morphine—a phenomenon called cross-sensitization, which is not unique to marijuana. Researchers are now examining the possibility that exposure to marijuana in adolescence may cause changes in the brain that make a person more vulnerable to subsequent marijuana addiction or to the risk of becoming addicted to other drugs, such as alcohol, opioids, or coc aine.

Nope. It mearly suggests that there is linkage and suggesting further study.

That is not proof.

This was fun. But it is so far off topic now and it is time to move on.

I will read. I am done otherwise. It is that bad. But it clearly represents a divide of several opinions where there will be no consensus achievable.

That's probably one of many reasons baseball isn't as big as it used to be. All the players are juiced on whatever they want so they cannot be compared to historical stats of legendary players. Lost a huge fanbase but made the players unions happy.

Smoked from 12 to about 22, don't remember the exact age I quit, only that it was not too much after I was legally able to go to the bar. I quit because it started triggering severe panic attacks out of nowhere. Only negative side effect from going from smoking multiple times a day, to none at all, I no longer found adam sandler or jim carey funny. I suffered severe withdrawal when I quit effexor xr, so I do have a comparison point. Pot is not addictive at all, I get withdrawal when I don't have coffee or nicotine, nothing when I stopped smoking pot.

Edibles are dangerous. A person can overdose on them easily, especially in anticipation of a high among inexperienced users. It's difficult to smoke yourself to death.

I think this plagues marijuana specifically because it has historically been smoked rather than ingested.

There are also plenty of people that don't think the rules apply to them, manifesting in various ways.

That article seemed accurate to me.

its impossible to eat or smoke enough marijuana to overdose,
If it's super THC concentrate, idk maybe. but there are 0-zero fatal marijuana overdoses EVER in the history of man

I don't know if this has been addressed but Bruce Lee supposable OD on refer. The only one in history as far as I know of.
