Iran had a nuclear weapons program up to 2003 when they supposedly ended it. Using Iran as a template for other countries is problematic for many reasons, mainly that it does not support the claim you made.

Just as your source where you claimed 45 nations wanted to build nuclear weapons when in reality the information showed those 45 nations engaging in civilian nuclear energy.

The countries in the ME have discussed nukes as a deterrent to Iran. To date though I have not seen anything showing those nations embarking on a nuclear weapons program.

Iran has had several operational nuclear plants for some time now.
Hell even Iraq had research reactors, until ISIS got to the city where the college was located and supposedly ran off with the radioactive material.

Well, since neither of us are prophets, will see what happens. IMO, the ME is all about which tribe has the most power. For this era, that would be nukes.
