You can know anything you want to know. That is up and onto the part you know something which you wished you did not know, then ignorance is your friend. Such is the state of the world and people, both individually and on mass.

Also knowledge needs no defense, just like truth needs no defense. In fact as a general rule and you can look this up by observation in daily life in pretty much anything. But if anything needs to be defended its not knowledge or the truth. Falsities or lies however, those need to be defended constantly or they will fall faster then a house of cards in a hurricane.

The world for the most part is about maintaining our lies, or illusions and all in working order. Now if your talking about knowledge as in a thing in itself or your basic things as in bananas are yellow, well that kind of knowledge needs no defense either.

So really the question that beckons is...What are you defending?

The least comfortable position is between the two extremes... in loyalty to your own perception, despite knowledge of your limitless ignorance.

Thanks for that great insight!

Knowledge does need defending, just as 'truth' does. No reasonable person would expect to accept a proposition as true, without any reasons given for it, these reasons substantiate and defend the given proposition.

If you think an education is expensive, try ignorance.

If you think an education is expensive, try ignorance.

Further Education at University's and Colleges in my country (UK) used to be free ... Paid for out of Tax payers contributions.
However it is no longer Free and those seeking Further Education will find themselves in a lot of debt due to Government loans.
Also the chances of getting a job within one's specialised field is very low

As such many working class kids now never consider going to University an option ...
The only way left is self education

As Leonardo famously said " I am glad I received no formal education ... It made me think for myself"
