Here is what I fail to understand..

People demand the Us government act with financial responsibility. We then get bent out of shape when the military wants to close / consolidate bases. To further add insult, congress members who are affected do all they can to prevent the closings. We then have members of congress trying to retain military assets the military no longer needs to protect jobs.

Let the military decide what's best for their needs, like bases and equipment and stop forcing political interests inio the equation.

Here Here!

Set the budget, let the warmasters pick the toys they like the best. Keep oversight so they don't blow the money on $500 toilet seats of course!

The we need to cut a few worthless programs and cough up about 30 million.
THAT new toy is HEMMORRAGING cash and they want to use the F-16 until the F-35 comes in.
Hard to believe these people are this slow.

Anyone remember silent thunder? And if not do I need to say more? Getting rid of this for a fighter to replace is still quite a while away. I see this staying service at least a couple more years or a massive upgrade/newer model, similar to the huey/ Blackhawk

Zaph mentioned they need the maintenance crews from the A-10 to work the F-35 program otherwise they are buggered with a ton of training and costs in a different thread I believe. I just can't believe a few hundred million to keep them around a bit longer is a big deal.

The problem with that card is it costs mana to cast and use. It should be free. 💪

👣

Forget it... he regenerates mana faster than he can cast,
even Level 24 fireballs. And those babys look like a bushel
basket of shop rags soaked with napalm.
Back to the thread, I hope the old buzzard lives a lot longer:
because it is the only artillery with wings that just might be
able to fly slower than a tired grunt can sleep..
Eat your heart out, Callahan..

It would almost be worth a twenty to see if a Cessna 225 would
win a standing mile drag race, neutral yoke.

EDIT:: Just following up on the Paperwork and Post Reduction Act, Zaph.

I would guess, the A10 Warthog has been superseded advancing technology.

I was exposed to jet fuel at an early age. It expanded my mind into something unrecognizable.

Sorry to take so long getting back.. reading up on the sui in
the Airbus taking everybody along. What a sad and preventable
story... and reinforcement of the buddy system, maybe NORAD style.

I came from drag racing, and maybe even more volatile hydrocarbons.
It was a really wild ride, and I still can't recognize the destination.
