I saw this movie once, I can't remember what movie but it featured the "Aurora" Spyplane, it fired AGM-65 Mavericks at some point

I thought that was funny, also in the game C&C Generals there is an Aurora attack plane, I believe it drops MOABs or something insane like that...

Personally, I don't think it would be terrible to give recon planes the abillity to attack (ground) targets since when it spots, it can shoot, like a highly mobile target...Kinda in the same fashion of the Predator equipted with hellfires...
