After the race, Mayor Greg Fischer posted a photo to his Facebook page.
It shows two pictures of LMPD Lieutenant Aubrey Gregory, helping race participant Asia Ford cross the finish line at the 10K race.
The mayor added that this is quote "what a compassionate city looks like."

The cops should not be helping people in their delusion. She should not have been running a 10K race yet. That is like people cheering on the crazy lady swimming between Florida and Cuba who was getting stung by jellyfish. Hopefully this does not lead to others running a race that they aren't ready for yet. We don't need people dropping dead because of heart attacks.
The cop should tell this woman not to do this kind of stuff again. I suppose if you can't talk stubborn people into listening to reason, you need to help them to safety anyway.

I'm a little confused here Domo1. What exactly is the post about, the cop or the woman ? the thread title is about the cop but then you fail to mention him in your post.
Is this a pro-cop thread or a pro-weightloss thread ? Could you please be clear about this.
