I have often wondered whether CIA involvement with the cartels is for help from the cartels catching terrorist?

I would think it would be common knowledge by now that illegals are being used to smuggle drugs across the border. That, I really don't care about. What I care about is that each one of them that comes across the border will become another burden to the common tax payer. Also, given a free citizenship.

This stuff has got to stop. No more welfare to illegals. No free citizenship. Close the border. Build the fence. Also, stop judging the border patrol agents for defending themselves from attacks. This stuff will never happen because for every illegal there is, is a potential democratic vote.

Its not only the economic impact its the impact these people have on our health. Diseases that where virtually non existent are now becoming common place. TB, Enterovirus, STD, and more are occuring more and more. How anyone can no correlate these increases with the masses crossing our borders is beyond me.

How frustrating it must be for the Border Patrol agents to deal with this. They can't even deport or charge most of these people.

I guess the expense to Americans is worth to the scumbags allowing it all for a few more voters!

See, this hate speech!

Racist Latinophobes and Xenophobes!

ANYONE should be able to come into this country and get welfare benefits and social security. It is our duty to the world to bankrupt ourselves and be rid of our ill gotten gains! America is enlightened and the only nation in the world with an open border policy! Who are we to judge other nations economic practices that causes poverty to their people? Why should we have standards for immigration like every other country on the planet! Those people should be able to come here and live as long as they VOTE DEMOCRAT and keep the party in power!

Meanwhile at the northern border, there have been long lineups and the two countries have just announced changes that will see US agents coming into Canada to preapprove certain aspects of getting into both countries. The question is why is there tight control on one border and not on the other?

I was always under the impression that the US/Canadian border had relatively easy regulations for Canadians and Americans crossing the border. I've been to Canada twice and never even needed a passport or visa to cross. I believe it was to help facilitate quicker crossing for the transportation sector. But you're right. It's a lot tighter on our nothern border, than on the southern.

The southern border can literally be crossed from Mexico into the US without even so much as questioning or detainment. But any American that even accidentally crosses the border is detained for days, weeks, and even months at a time before being deported.

That's not right.

Apparently, its just to much to ask of the US Federal gov't to implement and oversee an "orderly" immigration policy. Am I sick of it? I'm way past that. I just watch with amazement and notice the little poof's of evidence of the damage being done as a result as they pop up now and again. Like odd disease outbreaks across the land and periodic cries for help from cash strapped school districts faced with overwhelming enrolment increases. And all of this reminds me of a history story I read which goes something like this.

Long, long ago in a very far off and beautiful land there was an nation that was geographically huge. The nation had grown rich and prosperous as its border ever expanded into largely unpopulated regions of its continent. In the distant provinces great cities were built and they were protected by an exemplary military machine directed and controlled from the far off Capital City, a City of great wealth and splendor. Intricate road systems were built to allow the military units to move quite quickly throughout the rapidly expanding nation and all was well. The citizenry were a proud people, well educated and administered by a very robust governmental system that maintained order and saw to the education and cultural enrichment of the citizens, even in the far flung provinces. The road systems and naval forces made it possible for many people, called middle class to profit handsomely from an extensive trading network that built up.

And then, after a couple hundred years, out of no where and from beyond the borders of this great nation came a great many "new" people who were quite primitive and they were overwhelmed with awe and wonder at the great advancements and wealth of the nation and its citizens and they said unto themselves, "let us go and live there and prosper and get our fair share of all that gold and silver and precious "stuff"". So they began to pour over the borders and began to inflict great havoc in the far flung provinces and the Central Government in the Capital city was overwhelmed by the task of trying to control the situation.

Now, it had come to pass that as the Nation had grown ever more wealthy, there grew up in the beautiful and highly advanced Capital City, families of great wealth and influence. They largely populated the organs of government and commerce for they'd grown wealthy through ownership of fleets of merchant ships and warehouses and distribution systems. They had Palaces in the Capital City, and they had vast land holdings and beautiful country farms with country Palaces they could go to to oversee their farm operations. And there were many thousands of such families, living mostly in the central region of this great Nation in the area around the capital.

But...as the numbers of newcomers overwhelmed the provinces, something strange began to happen there. The influence of the central government in the capital began to wane, and indeed, it became largely irrelevant. Agents were dispatched monthly from the Capital to the far off provinces, but they were never heard from again. And in the Provinces, the citizens began to entirely ignore edicts and rules from the Capital because their local situation was so chaotic that the missives from the Capital were pointless in effect. And as things began to ever more fall to pieces, the great wealthy families started moving out of the Capital altogether and moved their great trading enterprises to another beautiful city that was blessed by geography to be able to be both easily defended and which was located on a sea way that easily accommodated the great trading fleets of the wealthy merchants.

And so...the great wealthy families of the great nation survived handsomely with their great wealth in the New Capital. But in the old Capital and in the whole portion of the formerly great nation, chaos ensued, and within two generations all had fallen into great disrepair and the few surviving citizens lived in squalor amongst the ruins of the formerly great and beautiful cities. Sewage and water systems broke down, and as a result, great outbreaks of disease occurred and the light of civilization was thus extinguished. And it wasn't restored for nearly 1000 years.

Live and learn from history.

I didn't know that was happening on the Canadian border. So...are they making it difficult for Canadians to come into the US, or are they trying to make it uncomfortable for US citizens to leave the US?

My partner does booking at the county jail. They get tons of repeat offenders who are illegal aliens from Mexico. These people have been deported numerous times and just keep coming back and committing crimes. Most of the crimes are drug, burglary and rape related. The most recent was 3 guys, all illegal, who had committed a home invasion of an elderly couple who were babysitting their grandchildren. They held them hostage for hours, raped the elderly woman and left. When arrested they had a couple pounds of pot on them and burglary tools. They had a history of arrest, deportation, arrest, deportation and now arrest again. They also had state id's. This is the scum they are openly letting into this country and then we get to support them while they victimize us.

I can help you out here. as a white male who crossed the Texas mexico border several times. When I cross then they do their job and question me. If any other nationalities cross the border and get questioned then it is discrimination. Same on the airlines.

I use to work as a Deputy Jailer at a county facility. I have the same kind of stories, just not to that extreme. I would book in the same people time and time again for DUI, AI, drugs, car accidents, burgleries, etc. They would always go to the pre-trial clerk and have their bonds reduced to an amount that a "family" member claims they can afford or on their own recognizance. Then the next week, they'd be back with a different name and different offense. I booked in a couple of them there were involved in injury accidents, one of which killed someone. I don't know how much time that one actually got.

Funniest thing though, I booked one in that tried to pass off a fake drivers license. The detail was near perfect, though, missing the holograms. When I turned it over, it had cheerios on the back side of it. A drivers license on part of a cheerios box. That was funny.

Anyway, long story short, we would call ICE to let them know we had people with no documentation that had been in the facility repeatedly. They'd never return a call or show up. Pathetic.

The reports I heard were that both sides have big lineups. I honestly didn't pay that much attention to that part of it though, sorry.

And when the states try to pass laws and take matters into their own hands the Federal Government sues them claiming they do not have the right to protect their own borders, people and sovereignty even though the Fed is derelict in its duty.

ICE: 167,527 Criminal Aliens Loose in U.S.A.

These are people that are here illegally, get caught, convicted, and you release back out into the public,” he said, adding that some of the crimes committed by those who have been released include homicide, sex crimes, child pornography, drunk driving, robbery and kidnapping.

www.cnsnews.com...

Thousands of our citizens have been killed by illegal immigrants who have had previous arrests and deportations. Many that do get deported just keep coming back. Those who are released into the public continue to commit crimes. All we ever hear about from the pro illegal folks are how these illegals are here to make a better life for their families, how we are so racist and filled with hatred because we want our laws enforced.

We pay billions of dollars to have illegals here and catered to while our own poor people are homeless and hungry. It is extremely frustrating for the American citizen and for those coming through the proper channels, yet still we are forced to deal with this year after year after year.

Compare that with a fatal shooting today on the Washington-BC border. It was later discovered that the man shot was wanted for murder somewhere. Story here. It really makes you wonder doesn't it?
