Shooting in AZ. Multiple locations and victims.

A gunman shot six people, killing at least one Wednesday morning in Mesa. The shooter is still on the loose and police are actively searching for him, according to a Mesa Police Department source.

Police are looking for a White man in his 40s with a neck tattoo, wearing a gray shirt and black shorts or pants. Do not approach him if you see him; call 911.

Shooting at a hotel....
This one is about drugs or a woman.

The only good thing I see coming out of this is all of the quick-thinking people who locked down schools and notified the parents of students, etc. (although it doesn't sound like this was necessarily a "school shooting")

Another nutjob, going off the handle. Shot three people in a motel this morning to start off his day.

I didn't see in the article if they found the star the suspect stole or what. It does sound like there are a number of shooting sites and victims - I always get sick to my stomach when I hear/read these reports
I hope they find the guy so people don't have to be afraid to go outside. What a whacko - thoughts are with the victims

What is it with Arizona? They get more mass shooters per capita than any other state I think.

Frank Underwood, 25, who lives in an apartment complex near Dobson and Southern, said he saw a man running from police as he approached his home.

Atleast Kevin Spacey is ok though.

Well per the FBI a mass shooting means 4 or more people get shot. The leader in this is actually CA.

Large dense populations, gangs, strict gun laws, perfect state for such activity.

High temps, intersection of Mexican cartel drug trade with US drug trade (Arizona is the US kidnap capital), lots of illegal trafficking ...

That help some? Oh and locals angry about it all.

I think you should do a bit of research.

AZ still gets a ton of shooters and they are the opposite of your criteria in every way.

AZ didn't even make the top 10! Read the source for christ sake!

ETA: Also AZ is pretty much 2 major cities. Tucson and the entire Phoenix area, both of which are centers for drug and human trafficking. It's like CA, just smaller and more spread out, hence not even top 10.

Holy cow this is like 400 feet away from my house. Good thing I went to work today. Oh wait NVM the police have my building on lockdown because the shooter also started shooting down the street from my work. Guess hes still on the loose because I can hear the choppers buzzing outside. Pretty nuts.

I think you missed the fact I stated "per capita" basically because they have so many based in the small number of persons in the state.

I believe felons there can petition to have their gun rights restored (probably no chance in hell if they have violent crimes on their record though)

but back to the story - I've heard conflicting reports because this story says 1 person in extremely critical condition and the story you posted says 1 killed ABC15

Not sure if they are talking about two different individuals or what?

I guess it is just desert with 2 major cities and lots of empty space so they have big city problems even if the state has few people relative to size. I have to cross AZ to get to work but I rarely stop for more than gas and fireworks.

Na man we have some pretty Lax gun laws but no felons can purchase firearms from a dealer. However if one were to purchase a firearm second hand here in AZ through Phoenix backpages or Mesa Gun traders then one only needs a valid Arizona driver’s license to purchase the weapon.. No background check needed. But if an Arizonan sells a gun to somebody privatly and they dont have a AZ license then that can be a felony.

Actually, they don't even need a license, they just have to be a AZ resident over 18. However they choose to prove that to you is up to them.

I do it quite often, so I'm familiar with the legalities.
