Secondly the Syrian government has stated publicly they welcome Us airstrikes of ISI within their territory so long as we communicate, and that is whats occurring. As for the drone who knows.

Communication must be real good if Sryia wants to shoot down US drones..

Happy days..

Purp...

Obama administration rejects claims by Syria's Assad that his government receives messages from U.S.-led coalition through third parties

Assad said third parties, among them Iraq, were conveying "information" rather than a coordination with the U.S.-led coalition.

The same setup the US has with Iraq in regards to Iran and ISIS.

We don't directly speak to Iran either.

During a foreign television interview that aired Tuesday, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said his government is receiving messages from the US-led coalition fighting ISIL.

The White House and State and Defense departments all rejected the assertions.

White House press secretary Josh Earnest said the U.S. has never coordinated actions with the Assad regime and would not.

But he noted that prior to initiating strikes in Syria, the U.S. informed the regime of its plans, through its ambassador to the United Nations.

"What was made clear in that communication is that it's the responsibility of the Syrian government, to put it bluntly, to stay out of the way," Earnest said.

A Pentagon spokesman also declined Assad’s claims.

"We don't have any direct or indirect communication with the Assad regime in military terms," Rear Adm. John Kirby told reporters.

Assad said third parties, among them Iraq, were conveying "information" rather than a coordination with the U.S.-led coalition.

Kirby said questions about possible Iraqi intermediaries should be referred to Iraqi officials.

State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki also touched on the issue and said the U.S. would not work with the Assad regime as it has created an environment that ISIL has exploited.

She said she would not go through details of private diplomatic discussions with Iraq.

They are flying missions into another sovereign country's airspace and tell them

What was made clear in that communication is that it's the responsibility of the Syrian government, to put it bluntly, to stay out of the way," Earnest said.

They lose a drone it's their own fault.

Read the first part. They're getting messages from the coalition. That means it could come from Jordan or the UAE or any other member without coming directly from the US.

Just an update:

“As soon as it entered Syrian air space, we considered it to be gathering security and military information on Syria’s territory,” the source said, adding,

“The aircraft entered areas where Daesh (an Arabic acronym for ISIL) is not present.”

About the rhetoric of some of you guys, whats the point of this discussion... The US is giving military support to the so called "moderate" rebels in Syria (to kick Assad out from power) and at the same time, they (the US) are "worried" in giving info to Assad against their strikes on ISIS ? What ? Are you serious !? (enemy of my enemy...)

The only interest of the US is to remove Assad from power without a "official" ground invasion (bad politics at this point right now), but instead, damaging every economic and industrial infrastructure. Please guys, be real!

The US attacks are a blatant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and they are being made without any authorization by the government in Damascus or the United Nations.

Don't go around in circles...

They are not getting authorization nor communicating with the country they are flying into, sending a quick message does not qualify as coordinating with them. Their own fault if something gets shot down.

Syria ‘OK’ with US air strikes

UNITED NATIONS — Syria's foreign minister says his government is satisfied with the US-led bombing campaign against the Islamic State (IS) group, which has aligned Damascus with Western and Arab opponents in fighting the same enemy.

Walid Al Mouallem says in an interview with The Associated Press that Syria heard from the United States 24 hours before it launched its initial salvo last week.

He said Monday the US does not inform Syria of every strike before it happens, "but it's OK".

"We are fighting ISIS, they are fighting ISIS," he said, referring to the group by one of its acronyms.

Mouallem spoke as US-led coalition air strikes targeted towns in northern and eastern Syria controlled by IS, including one strike that Syrian activists said hit a grain silo and reportedly killed civilians.

Who said it's a quick message? He said they're receiving messages but not what kind or if it was for coordination.

In their own country, I said it earlier and I'll say it again, it's sick and megalomaniacal.

The US Government, along with other US arse licking nations, have created and continue to fund ISIL.

Any time you hear of the US 'fighting ISIL' think about who is getting the aid money.

The whole thing is a scam, it creates a reason to get into Syria, it creates wealth for the MIC manufacturers and suppliers, it beefs up the military budget and it creates more terrorists to frighten the children with...and in case you are wondering who the Government considers to be children...it's you.

Make sure you pay your taxes folks...there's plenty of terrorists who need your money to fight and kill your troops.

My first post on the subject was

Then cooperate with the other forces fighting them.

It is you and another getting hung up on "messages". How are they cooperating with them? Cooperation is when both parties communicate with each other. As a mod you should be holding yourself to the same standards as everyone else and not be picking a play on words to distract from the op.

Wait there a minute. First we all know the US is giving weapons to the "rebels" that one day are "moderate" and the other day become ISIS.

Second, your post is about something that happened in late September. At the time, Obama "intentions" was not send ground troops to Syria, (Obama, Kerry: No U.S. troops will be sent into combat against ISIS in Iraq, Syria) but later, Obama ask's for the support in congress to send troops to Syria(Obama looks to expand ISIS fight, asks Congress to send troops to Iraq and Syria).

Remembering this statement from the White House in November 1, 2014 : “The policy that we have for Assad is really clear: We believe that he’s lost the legitimacy to lead” there is no possible way ever, to even think, that US will coordinate whatever you may say it would, by a third or any other party. This is ridiculous.

The US and is Qatar friends et al are behind every dirt action against a sovereign nation.

I'm not getting stuck on words. There are messages going from the coalition to Syria. That means there's some level of cooperation going on.

Cooperation
to work together : to work with another person or group to do something,

Telling them they are doing it is not cooperation, it is dictating.

Its just a drone. not worth a sortie or a cruise missile in retaliation.

Somewhere, a 19 year old boy, weeps for his lost drone... This one, this one was his favorite..... I find your lack of compassion upsetting to this operator, and to the taxpayers, and to the people who cared for it...

/sarcasm

Honestly, you're right it's not worth any action ; But that does not mean it won't be used as an excuse for action..
