"Dead Hand" (AKA Perimeter) is an auto-launch mechanism, yes, but only after SEVERAL fail-deadly systems have been rendered inoperative. It would have to simultaneously detect launches, track those launches, confirm severance of it's uplink to several military monitoring stations, and perhaps even more fail-deadly systems we don't know about. I'm 110% certain the Dead Head won't launch a massive volley at America because of a glitch, and any system designed as such is retarded and would be shuttered immediately or upgraded to account for it.

Funny you should say that since I was thinking India as well when I commented, but I feel that Russia, China and the U.S. all have that metaphorical "chip on their shoulder", something to prove and something to lose.

India to me seems like a nation that would want to remain neutral and at least out of the primary hotzone.

China and Russia are both superpowers with weaponry and other resources that they'll use to back it up.

America is a has-been, but still has the weapons and other resources to do a helluvalot of damage. This is why I personally focus on these three major players.

If China becomes aggressive in Asia, there is absolutely no way India would sit out the war. India and China have been enemies for thousands of years. India recognizes that any Chinese aggression would not be good for their nation. Don't forget India is ranked number four in military power and has a larger Bluewater navy then either Russia or China.

I would say Iran gets a nuke, then says it was stolen ,then a SADMS type bomb goes off in Texas close to the border or on a costal spot of value. No doubt heavily sheilded in an OIL tanker maybe sunk into the bottom.

You may be right, but remeber how I said I was counting every 273 days following 12/21/2012? One of the dates on that cycle was 6/20/14, when Obama sent soldiers to Iraq. Well, 3/20/2015 is the closing of the 6/20/14 cycle, so it would be logical if those 350 marines are involved in the trigger event. I cant say with certainty, though.
