TV show Oggy And Cockroaches has been pulled from the schedule

*Note, I would post the pic, but I don't wish this to go to the trash bin, so follow the link to see the photos

An episode of a popular children's show has apparently been pulled off the air after disgusted parents noticed cartoonists had drawn a picture of a pair of bare breasts into a scene.

Oggy and the Cockroaches is a French animated comedy series produced by Xilam and Gaumont Film Company and which airs on the Nickelodeon children's TV cartoon channel NickToons.

But the comedy has caused fury among some parents after an episode showed a framed picture of a topless lady showing off her assets.

The busty topless cartoon character - who appears to be a duck blessed with an enormous bosom - was in the background of an episode which aired in the US on March 5.

She also sports a pair of tiny bikini briefs, giant sunglasses and a bouffant hair-do.

The NickToons US website now appears to have removed the show from both its schedule and the show's homepage, although some character's 'profile pages' remain live.

But TV schedules for the next few days show other episodes are still billed to air in the US.

NickToons UK and Ireland began airing the show in September last year and shows new episodes every weekend morning.

It is unclear if the show will also be removed from the air in Britain.

I'll be curious to see if it stays on in Europe as they have a more lax attitude and upbringing regarding nudity than us Americans do. Here in America, and a few other countries, we are more "prudish", if you will. If my daughter had been watching, I wouldn't have caught it. If she said something, I just would have calmly explained what it was, and that would have been that. But some parents their attitude is...

And that's fine if that's how they wish to raise their children. Everyone is different in how they approach parenting. I am surprised it was there, but not too surprised considering some of the supposed Disney Easter Eggs.

Oh man. I guess I should start watching cartoons again. Missed some cartoon porn.

Oh. OOps. Bad cartoonists. They shouldn't be doing boob jobs.

Yup! Those be boobies, alright.
Chicken-woman boobies...but boobies nonetheless. Shame on them for showing those boobies...they should be cancelled for showing those boobies.
BOOOBIES!...sorry (fun to say).

That is awful! I don't know why they would have done that other than to be crude!

At what age does a child have to be when a woman's breasts become obscene?
We see them from the day we are born.

Boobies = Not cool. Poisoning friends with flammable liquid = okay.

It did seem rather gratuitous especially without content on what if any story behind it, rarely however do cartoons have such a story line. Now if it was a woman breastfeeding a baby would a furor have arisen ? Certainly among more than one group but many of the same people who condemn this now would be fervent in defending a breast feeding scene.

Personally I do not feel it harmed anyone's children as most would have never seen it but now that it is being displayed with publicity almost everyone will see it. Its a cartoon duck with boobies....ducks have breast but not like that, unless I missed something so rather silly in the scheme of things.

You should see the collaboration John K. did with his fans to bring Ren and Stimpy back.

Look for the lost episodes, episode 1.

What's wrong with boobs?

That is weird to have boobs in a cartoon ... But only because we've sexualized them.

I'm nursing my 6 month old as I type this. That's what boobs are for. Ok, that is an overshare but oversharing seemed relevant here.

I had to explain to my 4 year old daughter why her swimsuit covers her chest but her older brother could just wear shorts. She was annoyed because she wanted to just wear shorts too.

I couldn't tell her what I really thought! (That women's nipples should be no more or less private than men's. It's an arbitrarily sexualized body part in our culture. )

Sigh.

But... In the context of our culture, and what female breasts mean in our culture - having that picture in a cartoon is totally creepy and those animators are creeps for doing it.

People see this small, obscure picture on the back wall of a cartoon, but can't see how our world is broken on every level & slowly collapsing around us?

This reality needs to end already.

They are just following grandfather Disney's example, the sexualisation of kids.

Do a search on Disney subliminals, inappropriate children shows, sexualisation of children through cartoons.

This has been going on for decades and has exponentially increased over the last decade.

If you have kids wake up and turn it off.

So many parents don't have a clue and use this electronic indoctrination as a baby sitter.

I would post pics of the fruits of these perverts actions but I would probably be banned.

Look up child pageants and tell me there is nothing wrong.

"Do what thou wilt", gets results like this.

Look up inappropriate child toys if you want another shocker.

Some seriously F'd up people with evil agendas in this world.

by creating such a fuss don't they automatically give children a reason to focus on it?
probably most kids would not have cared, but now that you told them that something was a "no-no" they probably will.
We all know how it goes, tell a child not to touch something...what's going to happen 2 seconds later?
i'm not saying i approve of this, but we sexualize breasts and project that onto children...not sure that is the best line of action

You know, it's be nice if we were like African or South American tribal cultures where boobs are just boobs, but we don't live in that place and boobs are for sex. So this is wrong and sort of subversively creepy.

Boobs are evil. Murdering people on national tv in a thousands ways is good, though. See how that works?
