When that Night comes (Poem)

A new style for a new me. Hope you enjoy.


In my arms I’ll hold you my dear sweet love.
In your eyes I’ll stare for all eternity.
Your lips so soft I’ll kiss and never stop.
In your arms is the only place I want to be.

We’ll look up at the stars right above us.
We’ll hear the noise of the night.
I’ll keep you close next to my heart.
I know that it would feel to right

Million stars looking down, and us looking up,
The time will stand still just for us.
From all over the world, I finally found you,
The only one that could add to me a plus.

I cannot wait for that sweet night,
The night only you and me away.
Away we shall go to celebrate our love,
I wait for that night every single day.

But for not till then I will keep you close,
In my mind, in my heart and in my hands.
As I look in your eyes this night.
For the future far away, my heart holds the plans.

I'm a Poe fan and I read poetry dark.
I saw the lady as Lady Death, the soul mate of the poet.
That may not have been the intent.

I'm totally with you on all of that. I'm also reminded of the Lovecraft quote; That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons even death may die.
