So are these pictures recent? I know they posted old pictures and said that they were current too...

So, could this be a conspiracy in a conspiracy? Putin is a crafty guy and could be staging a coup to take the focus off the death of Nemtsov. He could blame all of this on the west trying to destabilize Russia.

He could also blame Muslim extremists working with the west.

No I understood.. was adding my own spin in that often times we will see twitter destroyed as a source if the info it contains does not support putin. If it does then there is no question about it.
