A man and his wife have been found dead in their home. Apparently both were in good health and no medical concerns. No signs of an intruder, no signs of a break in. House was secure. Tests have concluded that there was no gas leak nor carbon monoxide. Also, newspapers were found strewn on the floor and a duvet, both of which seemed odd/out of place in the house.

This has happened this week in sleepy seaside town of Devon, UK. Also comes after four other random, unexplained deaths of men across nearby towns. Not yet sure if deaths are related.

Sounds like a new 'death ray' being tested. Hopefully they don't aim it my way.

Hmmmm. Late eighties and they die.

"Honey, can you get me something to eat before I starve to death?" was his last words to his dead wife.

There is no mention of radon gas testing in the link. After carbon monoxide levels, isn't radon the next on the list of possibilities?

Depends on whose running the investigation. If an investigation is still ongoing that is. Two old people dieing makes no changes unless new information speculates foul play

How about one of them died and the other sat there, holding hands, waiting for their turn?

That does seem a bit strange. However, one thing I've learned is that when a story breaks it is quite rare for it to include all of the facts. Often times it will take a bit of time for the authorities to gather and analyze all the available information, but this does not stop the speculation among the public and media. Sort of like how there are sometimes stories about crazy things happening to kids in school, only to find out that it was blown out of proportion to a certain degree. That could relate to a story like this if, hypothetically, a gas leak caused the demise of these individuals. Perhaps the investigators may have considered this possibility, but they did not want to jump to conclusions without further analysis, thus there is not really any information given to the media- meaning that as the story spreads among the population we find it weird, but only because we do not have all of the facts. All I am saying is that we should consider this angle. Not the gas angle necessarily, as I was not really offering that as an explanation, just as an example.
