All of their stuff is good. I just mentioned the cream of the crop to my ears. I saw them on That Metal Show recently. They ranked their albums and, if I remember correctly, ATL was #1. They ranked State of Euphoria near the bottom but that one is one of my faves. Scott said it wasn't complete. It was rushed due to needing to get it out before a tour they were supposed to be on. To my ears, I hear nothing wrong with it.

A song they did on that album, Misery Loves Company, should have been on the Misery soundtrack. What a great song.

And who here has Anthrax on vinyl?

Totally dig this band. State of Euphoria is my fav.

Seriously? Not ONE mention of Spreading The Disease?

Ok, whatever, but I'd take that one over all the others. No problem in my mind. Far and above the rest of their catalog despite it's poor sound.

Dude. That's like Metallica fans duking it out over Master of Puppets vs Ride the Lightning. BTW I prefer the Lightning.

Not asking for a TMS throwdown between the albums but to see a thread go two pages and nary a STD reference is blasphemous.

OH, BTW, you're wrong about RTL vs. MOP. MOP doesn't have Escape so it wins. Fact.

Well, you can ignore facts and have your own opinion, that's fine. Go ahead and be that way, all thinking for yourself and such.

Personally, I'd take Justice over those two anyway, despite the fact there is no bass player on the album.

Sorry for the derail, that's enough Metallica talk. They have sucked for decades and shouldn't be talked about any more.

I even love Anthrax's rap tainted stuff like what they did with Public Enemy. Even I'm the Man is great.

ISIS is quite the jump from anthrax I would say. Of course, you should still check it out, but I wouldn't expect to get anything similar to Anthrax.

Oh, and Master Of Puppets all the way.

Here's a second vote for STD. (State of Euphoria is actually my least favorite from the 80s)

Anthrax is a distant third behind Slayer and Metallica on my ranking of the Big Four. They lost me with White Noise. I don't dislike John Bush, but Anthrax sounded more like Seattle grunge with him running the show. While I love grunge, it isn't the same.

Get it. I've been listening to it al week. It's better than Worship Music and easily as good as Persistence of Time and at least on par with Among the Living. It really is that good.
