The reason they do this is because there are some people out there that will sue you for just about anything. "Ohh, so-and-so took this medicine before they died, so it must have been the reason they died".

If you listen to the ads run on TV, they will list a boatload of symptoms that may not even be related to the medicine that they are trying to push.

Think of it like a "Terms and Conditions" - where they spell out the appropriate usage, what they will not be responsible for, and what can be a direct/indirect result of using their product.

In short: By listing out what could happen, it prevents people from being able to accuse them of not saying it causes Symptom X.

interesting. it is on prescription or over counter or both. never seen that on leaflet
.if you are worried about side effects can you choose some alternative medicine? is it anything specific in meds you are concerned about ? or you are just saying. is it now being stated on the same medicine that didn't state that? years back
