This actually came up during the "we're under attack, and we need money" thread from a couple of months back..

Bill and Mark made it known that they weren't actually making ANY money off the ATS merch....they're selling it to us at cost.

Ah for once I have some income I can spend on myself this month so I will buy some gear and donate directly to ATS .
