Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, has revealed the moment when he initiated a military takeover of Ukraine’s Crimea peninsula, weeks before a referendum which the Kremlin offered as endorsement for the annexation.

Putin reveals the moment he gave the secret order for Russia’s annexation of Crimea

Having endured months of comment that Crimea was spontaneously annexed due to a referendum, I am saddened that Crimea's annexation was part of a Russian conspiracy, a position that I have taken so find myself vindicated.

With Putin ordering Crimea's annexation, the farcical referendum was just the excuse. It was window dressing. Can Putin’s Russia be trusted now that they have officially admitted to invading a part of a sovereign nation?

Why is it that whenever members make factual statements about what that lying POS IS UP TO.

The shills come out to claim how great and honest Putin is. Yet later when he admits to his lies and deception. the same shills ignore and still idolize him?

Not surprising. The addition of Crimea to the Russian Federation was on their agenda for some time.
They succeeded, but they also work into the hands of western world powers.
It stilled the fear of Russian Aggression back into western citizens. It serves as an excuse to strengthen Eastern EU countries, and even, create an EU army.
It will result in the EU becoming more independent from Russia when it comes to energy and oil, which is a bad thing for Russia, as Russia's economy needs oil and energy export.

Part of how propaganda works through out all kinds of stuff hoping people lose track of the truth. Not to mention Ruddia actually employs bloggers to get the message out. LIke anything in life repeat it enough times and lies become accepted facts. Over and over Russia has been caught lying and worst part is Putin or in cases of the Crimea vote a department in there own government exposes the lie.

Buy humans don't recall what was said before only what's said now short attention span. That's why we are fed news in short clips. But when we do that it means put out enough garbage and the facts get buried in a mound of lies. I have to say Russia has become the master at manipulating western media. They play off there fears of not reporting the news as well as the tendency they have not to be reporting false news. We all know they do they just don't like getting caught.

I guess that's where I differ. I recall every statement I read . Time and time again when Putin admits his lies they Nashi army deflects or ignores his previous statements.

The staff here must notice what the Russian trolls are doing. IMO this should be a bannable offense. After all this site is to deny ignorance not promote properganda !

I was thinking to review some of the old Mother Russia ATS posters and quote them on the Crimea invasion by Russia. Sure would make a funny thread!

Problem is 1/2 of them get banned and start up new accounts all the time....

I for one realize that people can make mistakes. But when the same posters ignore facts and tout the same " party" lihe over and over. It must dawn on at least one of the " staff" . That those posters are spouting properganda with out any regards to the whole issue. IMO these people are only lying and attempting to confuse the import stories.

Posters that ignore pertinent facts and refuse to acknowledge admissions by their Hero. Should be warned about spamming the board with propaganda and if they fail to even discuss the new information but continue to lie/deny should be watched. When their propaganda becomes to outlandish they should be banned.

Membership is down because if anyone tries to discuss anything anti Putin the are attacked by groups of the same posters . They all star each other's post to make it seem like everyone agrees.

On the other hand there is the lack of the anti PUTIN posters to star/ encourage each other. At times through lack of unity it appears we are fighting for our post alone? ( even though many agree) Why doesn't the pro western side show more support for each other? Failure to support each other only strengthen's the oppositions side

When the same posters encourage agree and pat each other on the back constantly. To me that shows a predetermined act and attempt to stifle other information from being discussed.

IE this thread!!!!
Putin has admitted that the " unknown men in green" were his troops. Now that he has admitted to preplaning the invasion for some reason the Putin boot lickers don't want to discuss this subject?????

This thread should be on the front page to force discussion. But I have watched it slowly sink to the bottom of discussion.

Yep folks " Putin lies". Then he watches his lies make barely any headway on sites like this.

The people here remind me of a old Kremlin phrase useful idiots

Term invented in Soviet Russia to describe people who blindly supported the likes of Lenin and Stalin while they committed atrocity after atrocity. Today, it refers to brainwashed liberals and leftists the world over (usually college students that aren't necessarily idiots, but just misinformed, naive, and ignorant of facts due to being indoctrinated with liberal/socialist propaganda through their public education)

As long as the OP and some posters are staying selective in what they mention, people are not going to stand behind them...

Putin explained why he decided to return to the Crimea to Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin says he took the decision to reunify with Crimea because he could not throw people "under a steamroller of nationalists," according to a documentary Way Home aired on Rossiya-1 television channel.

But leave it to the Western press and some here on this forum to blatantly ignore such information.

Yea I guess the gas/ oil fields had nothing to do with it either?? There now I made that statement. The replies to me will in all probability be denied.

Then in a few months when Putin admits to that being the real reason. Nobody will want to discuss the war Putin waged for oil. Because we all know only the U.S. does that. (Sarcasm).

Regardless the U.S. practices a catch and release program. Putin practices a capture and absorb policy.

That is another issue the Nashi troll army doesn't like to discuss. ( sigh)

You have made the claim before that it was about gas/oil fields, but haven`t come up with any proof about it.

All you do is trying to make the impression it was about something else than what it was actually about, strategic and protection of Russian people.

Your logic fails when it was done in a rather hastily manner, as also confirmed by Obama now has every culprit of being done because of the coup and had not so much to do with the gas/oil fields.

Yes you said my logic failed before. Apparently your Google must not function. So I will relate a few articles for you, my information on the existing and new gas fields in the black sea is factual for some reason you are in denial about it. So here comes some sources I wish I could inbed pictures I just haven't figured out.

Russia stands to make trillions on the seizure of Crimea

here is another source on Putins theft

Oil is the reason putin is in the eastern Ukraine too

if the zero hedge article wasn't enough here is another source.

Dzhankoyske gas field onshore Dzhankoy Golitsyna gas field offshore Black Sea Karlavske gas field onshore Chornomorske Krym gas field offshore Black Sea Odessa gas field[36] offshore Black Sea 21 billion m3 Schmidta gas field offshore Black Sea Shtormvaya gas field offshore Black Sea Strilkove gas field offshore Sea of Azov The republic also possesses two oil fields: one onshore, the Serebryankse oil field in Rozdolne, and one offshore, the Subbotina oil field in the Black Sea.

I could go on and on listing the resources seized by Putin when the annexed Crimea. Yes we have been in this discussion before but apparently Google does not function on your computer. Look it up you know it's this truth but for some reason you prefer obfuscation?

Nothing says it was the reason to why it happened.

It`s more the other way around, US made a coup to grab all those things and Russia having a strategic interest and historic ties with it, they grabbed it back...who did the first grab, US or Russia ?

Yeah yeah I've heard all the BS about the US coup to steal all the things from the Ukraine. The only thing you miss is that regardless of whether the US was responsible for a coup. All of the resources would've still remained in the Ukrainians hands.

The resources would've remained in Ukrainian hands maybe with US guidance. But the US would not have seized them and made them part of the United States like Vlad the gangster did.

That's back to the whole US catch and release program as opposed to the Russian steal and keep program.

There nothing BS about a coup which has been taken place, we are now almost 10 months further in the feature then the (failed) Western propaganda which you come up and a lot of new information has come to light since then.

Look My At Posts Here

And Here

You only try to revive failed 10 month old propaganda to make it look like Putin was behind it all.

Edit : It would not have stayed Ukrainian, but would have been looted by Western Oligarchy again...

Ok for the sake of argument. I will agree that the US sponsored a coup. That is just so you will reply without cherry picking one part of my response that you want to discuss.

The difference is that the U.S practices a capture and release policy. when we leave the country it is still in The hands of the citizens of that nations hands.

Russia takes a different tactic. They seized the most vauluble parts of the Ukraine and kept them. That my friend is called theft. The seizure of the most valuable resources from the Ukraine has taken all hopes from the Ukrainian people of economical and engery independence. And left them a weak vulnerable Nation.

If that is what you call fair and just treatment you should seek help immediately. Only sociopaths Could consider depriving a nation of their only chance of economical Independence fair treatment.

At the very least russia should Remburse the Ukraine for the resources Putin stole if they truly made their moves for humanitarian reasons. But the gangster Putin not only took the Ukrainian resources but he sent them a bill for gas!!!!!!

You seem like a very intelligent person. So you must have some other adgenda for ignoring these obvious And honest facts.

"We finished about seven in the morning. When we were parting, I told all my colleagues, 'We are forced to begin the work to bring Crimea back into Russia'."

that is a quote from the bbc article in th OP

funny how tings get so twisted from Western media...Putin is not a nice man...So what...Obama is not a nice man..netanyahu is not a nice man....david cameron is not a nice man....

and guess what ...they all lie.

but if the quote bothers to get read ...the 80 percent were going to be inundated by the majority of the ukraine which toppled its elected government....putin always had his eye on the question...but his hand was force due to western intervention...or might say oppurtunity presented itself by the wests blundering policies.

this western revelation does not change anything...because we are ALL being lied to by the media on a mass basis...and yet the sheep still just grab anything they can hold on to to just blindly believe because it suits their own delusional perception of what they personally believe to be true.

THE OP IS GUILTY .....of this.

They chose not to look at he article without bias and presented it as fact...but it is not fact...Putin acted on a flowing situation in which he decided he might be able to use at this particular time for his own gains....a decision that many governments act upon over and over again as voids come about.

Yea and your edit said that happened five years ago. Yako Putin's partner in crime was in charge then. But I should thank you for that. Since Yako was giving the Ukraine resources away it seems that a coup was definitely needed To get Putin's partner in crime out of office.

Thanks again you seem to publish The sources I need to back my claim's. You seem like a very bright person. At one point we might be able to have a good discussion On a subject you don't feel the need to Lie and miss represent The facts on.

Honestly I look forward to the day when you aren't pushing your agenda and we can have a meaningful Thuthful discussion.

time for me to go to bed Your Putin Worship is well known so there is really no need to continue this discussion. I am just happy that you no longer deny that vast resources were involved.

So I will save this discussion to my files. In the event That you try to change your claims against. I have found that the only way to Battle the agenda driven posters. Instu saves the remarks so when they deny it I can post it back. I have done this on several sites and people hate it when they see their own words used against them.

goodnight sleep tight and I hope you have a pleasant tomorrow.
