Augmented Reality: Father.io

Hello my fellow Gamers,

There is a new game, in the works. Father.io

For those who played Google's Ingress, this will be familiar, but with a twist.

Father.io appears to be a information / geo-location based FPS with different classes. There are spots of intel places you must collect, and it also alerts you to nearby "bad guys" (other players) (factions?).

So far, I'm excited, but also worried at the same time.

Since this is a Line of Sight game, much like any other shooter, how creeped out are bystanders going to be seeing people pointing phones at each other?

How many people are going to be shot by police for acting suspicious and pointing "unknown devices" at other people?

Thoughts, my fellow gamers?

Might be a way to "invite" people to get a glass-type interface. Then all you have to do is look at someone and "shoot" them. Sure, they have it on hand-helds now ...

LOL..

I can see a "drone" edition coming out to follow suit with the hand held units. Just imagine it as target acquisition.
