That is awesome.

The wife and I watched the last crusade yesterday afternoon. We booth busted up at that particulate line in the movie..

Actually he did make a huge mistake, one that every person who learns to fly is taught not to do. That big mistake is trying to do a 180 back to the field being so low. Your only real option is to continue forward hopefully fine a spot 30 degree left or right of your course.

In his case he asked for a return and then promptly fell out of the sky in his turn to then crash...he was extremely lucky.

If you look at St Monica Airport there are very very few options if things go pear shaped on takeoff.Hes one tough SOB..
Oh by the way he was flying Solo and Chewi had to be taken to the vets..Badaboom
