A MAN who married and impregnated a 12-year-old girl has been sentenced to at least seven and a half years in jail for persistent sexual abuse. Judge Deborah Sweeney said on Friday the 27-year-old, who cannot be named, had persisted in pursuing his victim despite her initial reluctance. He then “married her” before he sexually assaulted her on numerous occasions between January 11 and February 5 last year.

Yes you read it right only 7 1/2 years in jail for repeated sexual abuse. Is that the normal sentence for this type of sick crime over there in Australia?

What the hell is wrong with people?

I guess the father was all for it.

It gets creepier...

dailymail.co.uk

The girl's father will face trial this year.

The father, who is in his 60s, allegedly arranged the illegal marriage.

The father allegedly organised his daughter's marriage to the Lebanese immigrant because he wanted to stop her from 'committing a life of sin'

EDIT: Didn't see the updated links.

lol is there any logic in that at all?

If it was my daughter then it would be 7 1/2 years in jail with payments to some evil guys family to rape him often, followed by the death penalty after he was finally released...

Unfortunately yes it seems to be about right . Perhaps even a little bit longer sentence than usual .

Oh , and why isn't the imam who married them not being prosecuted .

Let's hope that the Australian prison yard justice is as kind as the U.S when it comes to child rape.

I think he was fined $500 and his religious visa was revoked. Hardcore punishment right there, it makes me sick that any country lets most of these pigs off with too light of a sentence.

Tasawar was sacked from the mosque which sponsored him on a religious leader visa and is being held at Villawood Immigration Detention Centre. He is likely to be deported.

Apparently he was deported

Muhammad Riaz Tasawar, 35, of Mayfield, was fined $500 in Parramatta Local Court. His visa was cancelled and he was deported.

Yes it's called Twisted! meaning that she was forced to marry a grown-azzed man who would then forced his way with her, because above all else she is now MARRIED!! and thus unable to do the potential sinful act while fraternizing with boys her age, it's a religious thing up there with wife beatings and stonings.

Not much interest I guess.
I should have put muslim man jailed for child rape in the title.

Unfortunately it's an all too common happening these days.

Along with the 'historical' abuse of young children I fear people

may be becoming desensitised?
