I'm no expert, but if you want people to stop "spocking" 5$ bills, announcing that it is not illegal probably isn't the best method.
But again, I'm no expert =)

I did not know that people were Spocking bills, but I am extremely amused by it!

Quite imaginitive and refreshing !

the profile has the uncanny resemblance to the actual Spock... with the hair & such....good catch

I really want one of those bills.

My prediction is now that they have notified everyone as to what it is and that it isn't illegal...er...hahaha. I should be able to find one of those bills easy now.

Keep on Spockin' !

I have a feeling William Shatner started this whole thing... I wouldn't put it past that crazy Canuck to do something like this just for #s and giggles.

Except that they don't use currency in the Federation. Well, they have "credits" but it is more like a bit coin in a sense that they are not physical but digital... a reply to: stormcell

Spock is the best conceived character in all of Sci-fi ever. I really cant think of anyone else (with the exception of Mr Dr Who) but the good doctor had many faces so I wont count him here.

P.S A free tribble to anyone who guesses who the guy is in the third picture (you will not find his real name in the credits hint hint
)

What a bunch of buzzkills. The mint should issue a commemorative note.

Let the people have their fun, a simple act of remembrance won't devalue the dollar and somewhere someone will receive this note and treasure it forever.

This was posted in news site in my country

So it´s not illegal, at some point in the future, it might have collectible value... might..

Absolutely!

I predict it will have a value of at the very least five Canadian dollars!
