I gave you my explanation. The OP isn't going to happen. It is a non-issue and not worth complaining about.

See, that is where we differ.

I believe that individual liberty is constantly under assault by people and organizations who wish to extinguish the light of freedom at every turn. Clearly, you do not.

Probably because of all the times that he has over-stepped his constitutional authority to re-write congressionally approved laws, for one. That's just a verifiable reason that jumps out, but there are few others out there, too.

But congress won't do it, so it's a moot point of discussion.

Isn't it absolutely grate (no typo) how the line item veto
got railed fifteen years ago.. and by now the legislation is getting
written up the street with nobody getting loud about it?

Mission creep version three point zero.. pawns in front, ploys
right out in the open. What's a few dead soldiers compared to
winning the war for hearts and medicated minds?

Congress won't do anything or they'd hang by the same Constitution.

You mean the FBI?

You mean to say that the FBI pulls you over for speeding?
At least it is only state and local police that are pulling us over to look at our papers in flyover country.... at this point.

I believe the same thing is true, but I don't think it is as dire as you think it is. There are many different forces and ideologies at work and many times liberty assault attempts get defeated in committee before even being drafted as a bill, let alone signed into law. I also know how to recognize when an apple is just an apple and not something more sinister.

Right wing rhetoric? Thank god for it!! It should be relentless, vigilant, and determined to keep an eye on this sneaky, shadowy, lawless administration.

Remember, BHO studied constitutional law. He probably did that in order to figure out ways to use government-speak and back doors to undermine it.

He is dangerous, imo.

You are saying that it is ok to trump up lies and slander the president because you don't trust him or like his policies?

Ugh... only in politics do people celebrate muddying the waters of proper debate... And then they wonder why nothing ever gets done...

So, you cannot link to this "ObamaLaw" or detail the actions allegedly taken, right?

Did I say that? No. I said your constant meme, "right-wing rhetoric!", should NEVER shut opposers to this lawless administration up. They should point out every chance they get what this man is attempting to put over on America. Do some take it to extremes? Probably.

You yourself cited the Executive Order, establishing the
Task Force to give oversight to enhanced public relations
between the local police and populations. Sounds benign
and noble enough.... but
Where this is open-ended is where it will be abused, just
as the rhetoric of every other EO since Jefferson.

Ambiguity fosters controversy; controversy delays corrective
action. And it's so delightfully lucrative for our government:
made up of 70% lawyers that thrive on arguments while
steadily usurping more control every time over the dimwits
like me who actually have a problem with big governance.

Oversight implies control. Whether it will eventually include
policy and conduct is up to the collective moral restraint of
the administration, wouldn't it?

An EO to form a Task Force is NOT a law. A Task Force is NOT a law. Recommendations are NOT laws. Show me the LAW, baby.

Since when has Obama been concerned with LAW? EOs are not benign. If nothing else, they should give you some insight into the intentions and mindset of the man. Stay on top of this prez. I have a feeling he has kicked his "plan" into high gear for the next two years.

We have Obamacare, Obamanet, why not Obamalaw?

And while the leftists may publically bemoan the loss of freedoms our dictator-in-chief provide, I'll bet a shiny internet that they are gleefully clapping like seals at meal-time.

As a 90% of the way up the test diamond and dead middle
Libertard; I will still moan when another policy paper or
EO comes out pushing a narrative for increased oversight
of anything more than the Executive. Local policy soldiers
supposedly interfacing with the local population need Mommy
and Daddy to put their two bajillion cents in so badly, I just
might order a t-shirt. Or read "Morals and Dogma" again.

"Stop----Dave----just stop."
(keeps attempting with the 3mm Allen wrench to unscrew Cal)
(pant..drip):
"I have a really old, insipid song, wanna hear it?"
"Guess I can't stop you, Cal-- it's your post isn't it?"
"Lazy, Laaazy, give me no answer, do...
Drove me crazy, trying to impeach you.
It won't be a stylish miscarriage, but you can always disparage
how sweet your feet will feel the heat of a hotseat designed for two"

I can hope, but the avalanche probably won't ever reverse--

Here, let me untwist your words for you...

This EO is a law created to form a Task Force. A law created the Task Force to uphold the same law that created it amongst other "new" and "to be determined" laws. "Recommendations" means changing the law or how it is interpreted under the Obama administration. The new and mixed interpretation of law bestowed upon the people by it's government is becoming so horrible that a special "FEDERAL CIVIL RIGHTS TASK FORCE" needs to be created in order to "enforce" properly. With guns.

There's been dozens of warnings.

We will be seeing more threats carried out.

Very jealous dangerous people in charge right now.

You know how Obama is. He's a narcissistic self-promoting vindictive secretive back door kind of person, imo, and I think he is capable of throwing his "friends" under the bus just to show them he can. I can't say it enough. We need to keep a sharp eye on the next two years.

It only seems untrue if you subscribe to the barry is going to take over america theory.

Anyone else would look at this and think it is highly unlikely.

So what is worse is the idea is untrue and it is being presented as such to get those to just blindly follow it.
See your first post.

You know, Sommers08, even if those of us on ATS that read, research, and analyze weren't doing so, we would probably know just through our gut instinct that something is just not right with the present administration. As long as he is doling out promises of freebies and denigrating the producers of this country, many people will turn a blind eye, not wanting to see what is really transforming right in front of us. And, diehard Dems, will gladly see everything crumble into one big socialist pile of doo-doo as long as they hold onto their perceived power.

Krazysh0t: My apologies that you have fallen under the scrutiny of the Right Wing "Libertarian" Thought Police.

Standing up for accuracy and truth is not easy. Just remember you aren't alone.

Heretic: You just can't get a straight answer to very basic questions, can you?

If I didn't know better, I'd guess that the OP is merely echoing mainstream media hype.

What a shame that for so many our motto "Deny Ignorance" is now "Deny Evidence."
