The New York Times delivered a jolt to the 2016 presidential contest on Monday night, as the paper reported that Hillary Clinton conducted all government business on a personal email account during her four-year tenure as secretary of state. While other top government officials — including President Barack Obama and Clinton’s successor, John Kerry — have used government accounts for official business, Clinton never used a government email address during her Foggy Bottom years. Moreover, the Times found, Clinton aides “took no actions to have her personal emails preserved on department servers at the time, as required by the Federal Records Act.” The Times reports that two months ago, Clinton aides handed over 55,000 pages of emails following a State Department request. But the likely Democratic presidential contender’s aides personally reviewed Clinton’s emails and selected which ones to send to the department. Experts found Clinton’s use of her personal account troubling:

The unbelievable part is that it's written in the New York Times!

Hillary is the worst of the worst.

In any sane world, this should be a BIG deal for a few reasons.

1. It displays how Hillary thinks the rules do not apply to her.
2. It displays a disregard for national security measures put in place to keep government correspondence safe.
3. It reflects an intention to usurp and bypass the archiving of her correspondence as a government official.

That being said, I do not think it will change anything. The Clintons have dodged so many political, legal, and ethical land mines and poop-bombs that it's become surreal. There are too many to list at this point.

Somehow, she will manage to run for President, and she just may succeed at being "elected". It's a mad world.

Speaking of which, enjoy this version of "Mad World" as you ponder how nothing sticks to a Clinton. Something may stick to a blue dress, or bullets may stick to our brave soldiers in Benghazi, but nothing sticks to a Clinton in this mad world.

A lowly aide will be thrown under the bus and what-difference-does-it-make Hillary won't feel a thing.

Yeah, that hillary thing is a real piece of work. The emails are nothing compared to her past, Whitewater, Vince Foster and much much more. There was a documentary expose that was damning as hell for her, I think she had it pulled from the internet, but not before I got a copy years ago LOL. Nasty stuff, makes you wonder if these kinds of people are dropped on their head, bred or manufactured in some "evil" factory.

Cheers - Dave

And no Americans dies under Bush's watch? Your statement makes no sense. Are you suggesting they died because she used a Yahoo acct for emails?

PS: they (Republicans) already held hearings on Benghazi - and determined "no administration wrongdoing in Benghazi attack"

Recall the Wilileaks "State Department Cables" leak? She promised improved Security in her department...she sure did a great job...USING Yahoo for safety.

This is the most insane thing I've seen on ATS in days and that's quite an accomplishment:

Bravo. Be consistent or drop the fake outrage?

I for one find this completely unacceptable. To expound on something from the TP article:

Palin’s move is eerily reminiscent of Bush administration ploys to dramatically increase secrecy in government, such as when White House aides switched to personal e-mail accounts to avoid subpoenas during the investigation into U.S. Attorney scandal last year:

Hillary's move is eerily reminiscent of Bush administration ploys as well. So much wrong with this, starting with the obvious intent of evading accountability and also, perhaps equally troubling is the disregard for security.

Something like a criminal investigating another criminal for committing a crime and of course stating they didn't commit a crime? Is that what your getting at? Isn't that a conflict of interest, especially since all the criminals in government work for the same handlers? None of these assclowns in government have ANY credibility, why would you believe them concerning something serious, when you can't even trust them to tell you water is wet?

Under Corporate I.T Compliance this is a criminal tactic - by not using her government email address, any correspondence could potentially be seen as hers only and not necessarily reflecting that of the government therefore exonerating the government of any wrong-doing.

And since Hillary and Co are in the business of wrong-doing, this email address is quite convenient.

Feel free to flick her an email on
