That is 388 days until the judgment of fire (2 Peter 3:10).

Ok, we have about 100 days to make more innocent babies.

Why do you have to mention something that is over a year away. Good porn is something that you only have to wait a month for. Maybe I could be reminded in about a year, I will have long forgot this by that time if someone doesn't remind me again.

I won't even have a 2016 calender to right it on till about November.

When it does come, forever will seem like a moment and the moment of judgment will seem like an eternity and forever.

You don't have to seriously wait, you could humorously wait till then, it would be more a of joy for all instead of all the seriousness that plagues, well not you but many others, so be your usual self and keep your brand of serious comin

So why are we the lucky ones then, why do we get to maybe experience it (while alive in the flesh)? We know more than any or most previous generations, and our daily lives involve more sin, small or great, than most "common" folk or majority of people have had to deal with up to this point. I mean daily "simple" sin, like lying, stealing, dishonesty, deception, coveting, jealousy, adultery, dishonor, etc. I'm not even talking about murder or intentionally hurting anyone. I'm talking about the logical way of the world at this age --> take what you need, be clever in your approach. Everything is utterly sinful.

If there's no judgement day, at least in 'our' lifetime or in 2016 or even thereafter, all of the under-handed, backstabbing, thieving, manipulating, scamming, evil, cruel (add 100 more adjectives) people who succeeded in their evil ways on Earth will not be punished hereafter. They will not only gain from mistreating their fellow man, but will prosper so long as they are alive. When they die, the money they've gained will help their blood relatives and other loved ones to continue prospering, and so on. That's how it has been going for hundreds, thousands of years even. The holiest man in the world doesn't get jack because he's walking the street in sack-cloth telling everyone that what they're doing is wrong. If he takes a different approach and takes on the sin of the world by participating while knowing it's wrong, not only will he destroy himself through depression, but he will be alienated by the people he was trying to fit in with, eventually, because he has morals and ethics that they do not have. If they had them, they wouldn't be doing what they do the way that they do it. (The motto: Crime[sin] pays.)

If there is no judgement, the holy man gained nothing except satisfaction that he didn't lower himself as his fellow men did on Earth while alive. At the cost of not satisfying his flesh in the same manner that most others did. Throw in quite a bit of hardship and suffering. Keeping with the devil's advocate idea that there may be no judgement day, you could say the man squandered his entire life and missed out because:

1) he only lived once
2) he has no true "spirit" that lives on after he dies
3) his flesh is all that he is, the rest was wishful thinking

It's like betting your life on something that you have no true undisputable evidence for. If you had true evidence of God or afterlife, the "veil" between the spirit world or that dimension and this one would've been broken at some point, which hasn't happened since God personally appeared in a way or form and spoke to some of the Old Testament prophets. That veil will not be broken again until the true end times events, which might or might not even happen.

Haha, my brand of serious is a poison to most people's sensibilities.

I've been known to dabble in some poisons in the past, so any trip is a good trip if you ask me.

PS: Trip as in a person from Australia takes a trip to the USA,

No drug talk as that would be against T&C.

Sobriety is the most dangerous poison known to man.

Don't you think this doomsday stuff is getting a bit old. At this point I would say "the boy who cried wolf" has pretty much wore it out.

I'll never understand how anyone can prefer the status quo to ultimate destruction. Ignorance is bliss, enlightenments a #, as they say. (I don't mean that as a personal attack)

I have been keeping an eye on anything 2016 related. I recall David Flynn before his death using some calculations pointing to 2016. Michael Rood has said something similar as well. It will be interesting but I try not to put too much faith in to time tables and dates in regards to these matters but 2016 keeps popping up.

2015/2016 has been a hot topic around the Internet for a couple of years now. I think of it more as the beginning of the end though. And it seems to vary on exactly when and what.

The end will come when it comes, but until then, it's fascinating to watch everyone try to predict it.

1) he only lived once

en.wikipedia.org...
YOLO is an acronym for "you only live once". Similar to carpe diem, it implies that one should enjoy life, even if that entails taking risks.

2015/2016 is the new 2012. I would have to assume that in early 2017 we'll move the goalposts again and start talking about the end coming in 2018. Or or or - we can say that 2012 was really meant to be 2021 - we just inadvertently reversed the 2 and the 1, so the whole 2012 thing was an accidental reversal of digits - so yeah 2021 will be the end!

I once wrote a thread on "The futility of date-setting".
I must see if I can find it again.

May i remind you the following ?

"But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Matthew 24:36

and :

"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour. Matthew 25:13

Peace

Perhaps for some people date-setting is their means of keeping watch.

They convince themselves that end will be by date A, so they prepare like mad to be ready. It doesn't happen, but that's OK. They simply pick a new date to prepare for and begin all over again.

What's important is that they KNOW it will end, so they KNOW they must be ready. The dates are just their means of keeping their eye on the prize so to speak.

does your calculation put 1290 days at March 24th 2016?

1290-1335 = is 45 days or 1 1/2 months after march 24th '16....
kindly explain the significance of your end dates

i'm into the 2020-2026 year era for that sequence of days to come about... thanks for the thread

i'm still waiting for the AC to be revealed... and the Two Witnesses to begin their ministry against the AC to START the time clock of those mornings-&-evenings (days)...as far as i'm concerned we are just starting the first opening of the 7 seals...the going forth of the Apocalypse 4 horsemen and in no way nearing the 'end' or 7th trumpet at the period between 1290 days-&- 1335 days when that Alien invasion lands on that mount-of-Olives in Jerusalem
