My first Avatar....funny or annoying?

I just put up my first Avatar. It took some time but I finally found something that matches my typically too aggressive attitude. It needs to stand out so people can quickly remember me and read/ignore as they like.

Is it ok or too annoying? I know gif's can get annoying. It's actually supposed to be a wee bit annoying I guess. If it's too much I'll drop it however.

I would also say annoying.

Before adding my own face to my avatar, I had a customised winking animated gif from the nice people on the avatar thread, it looked good but was distracting.

I generally find the animated and bright avatars distracting, some I would even say very distasteful, especially those depicting violence/ aggression.

As I'm going for slightly annoying then I'm close to my target it seems! I guess I should have asked on a scale of annoying how do you find the avatar...1 to 10 being the most annoying!

It's the crazy eyes and screaming mouth that so matches my posting behavior. I could go with a still of that look alone, but the gif brings the crazy out much better.

The fact its a moving image sort of makes your eye drawn to it-thus interupting reading concentrataion,but the content is fun.
Its sure not as bad as those who use eye twisting moving optical illusions as Avatars-those I do find annoying.

No, it could be anything. The white is just a carry over from the 'no avatar' state. I didn't think about it to be honest.

I'd have to say that's what distracts me the most, a white background. I use the grey forum format, so yeah... lol

i think its cool, but I like trekkie stuff, although I'm not a trekkie myself.
