In my own family. I have relatives in Mississippi and married a northwestern guy. We range from southern conservative to ex-pat. The past 6 years, there have actually been family falling outs over obamacare, taxes and unions.

I wouldn't say they are @sholes, but rather more emotional from my experience.

For the most part their heart is in the right place , but they naively put their trust in a gov't that works for the very same corporations they hate.

First, I wasn't seeking a solution. I wasn't saying something needs to happen with these people, I was talking about an experience. You don't have to read about the things that annoy me... The list isn't this, I was just feeling particularly that way for that day because of some stuff I encountered.

I don't believe liberals are monsters. I believe humans can be - And the worst of them are the loudest. Just what I've ran into recently, they happen to attach liberal/democratic ideology, politics and what not to their posts while bashing others. It could be as little as .0001% of dems are this way ( Though, I doubt it. Way more people on both sides can be jerks at time - Possibly myself included! ) - But it's just what I have the most common experience.. I was simply venting. Not seeking a solution. Not deeming democrats a lesser race of people, not trying to prove anything, or convert anyone. No agenda, just a rant.. hence the RANT forum.

Hmm, I see. These are policies and not exactly what my post is about, unless you mean that people that are pro-socialistic ideas are the ones causing the falling out, then I suppose it aligns with what I'm saying.

Sorry, I thought policies are what makes you a democrat or a republican. I get what you are about now.

I'm a Conservative Christian and think Congress is Dictator Obama's lickspittle. To me, Republicans are the A-holes and Democrats are the feces.

When I do a little surfing on political issues, I tend to see a heckofalot more trolling by folks who claimed they are conservatives than I see progressives, just read the comment section on most Lib chan, or Yahoo news, now mind you I can have a decent conversation with Conservatives so I'd hate to generalize but that's just my experience.

I believe it! I'm just talking about my experiences, the places I go. ( Which are totally random, no one specific place. Experience project being one of them ) And I'm trying not to generalize - This could apply to like 1% of the actual people, they are just really loud. I definitely don't attribute every single liberal person to being an obnoxious jerk.

Maybe since I agree with quite a bit of liberal ideology, I'm more drawn to some of their posts, so they stand out more? I'm definitely not going to say my views cannot be explained.

Do you notice a theme here OP? You are constantly having to restate that you are neutral politically and are expressing frustration with the behavior of liberals.

The reason is that your opinion does not compute with liberal worldview. You see, they are the more intelligent, more rational, more scientific group. Not to mention they absolutely have to win! They get angry when the stupid ape they are arguing with can't understand their level of brilliance.

Family fallouts over political squabbles, LoL.

Our world needs to end.

I'd definitely agree that taking conservative, religious stances makes those people even more hypocritical as most people don't practice what they preach, but all humans are lying hypocrites...It's part of the human condition, and too general to apply to one political party.

Also, if you've read through the posts, rather than just the attention-grabbing title - You'd realize I wasn't generalizing. I've admitted I might have some type of bias that makes me see things like this easier, and that it could apply to a very small amount of the liberal population.

The ideological hole you dug and threw yourself in keeps getting deeper and deeper. Keep ranting....you exposed your true feelings when you insultingly called democrats assholes; Now by trying to back away from that statement just makes you look like a coward.

I would have given you more credibility and respected you more if you would have defended your convictions.

Now you have neither imo. And changing the title to A-hole was so lame....

Over the years I've been on both sides but am now firmly with the Democrats. I explain to people old enough to be familiar with the film "I''s a Wonderful life" with jimmy Stewart this way: I stand with George Baily, not Mr Potter. George is genuinely concerned with the well being of the community in general and individuals within. Mr. Potter only cares about himself and even said "their not my children".

So, I see George as a Democrat (we all know the party is not perfect) but on the other side is the Republicans. I'm 58 years old and pay attention. I am not aware of a single thing Republicans have done to help average working people, on the contrary, since Regan there has been an all out war against unions, consumer and environmental protections. Newly elected republicans may have good intentions but get their marching orders when in Washington and fall in line, the only thing they do is support the 1%ers who will fund their next campaigns.

I lost all hope in the repubs during W's admin. Causes near and dear to many who voted for them were not addressed (illegals crossing the border for one)... for 6 years they (white house, congress + senate, all repub controlled) did not lift a finger to stop the flood but as soon as a dem gets into office they endlessly throw stones... they are all talk, I suspect the US Chamber of Commerce wants cheap labor and has the money to get their way. In the North East repub talking-head Howie Carr devoted a show to this topic and the Chamber one day a few months ago... then it was back to blaming Obama. The way I see it they are all a bunch of sold-out lying s.o.b.s who don't give a rip about this country. Too bad so many people fall for the endless lies spouted by these right-wing radio nutjobs.

And if you are listening Glenn Beck I gotta say what a double-minded so-n-so you are... on one hand you speak as if you are a Christian and then you spin on a dime and spout a volcano of lies about one thing after another with a good dose of racism mixed in. BAH

Ok this is from one of my fav Lib chan, no apologies but pls check out areas where local Libs and Cons can work together , we have different ideas about how things should work and that's fine, but I believe there are reasonable folks on both sides who love their country and want such things as getting $$$$$ out of politics so the system not be as corrupted,Red State New Hampshire is close to joining other states to over turn Citizens United, like Oregon, Hawaii, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, Rhode Island, Vermont, Connecticut, Maryland, Colorado and Montana. The Washington, D.C., Council has called for an amendment as well.
This is bipartisanship is on a level not seen at the capitol, I hope with the over turn reasonable people can have their say.
