It is about 60% that i can't understand. Much like some shows i see on TV with people from swamps in Louisiana. I see it on TV and cant understand. I know i am not the only one. Because they use subtitles. I have seen some prison or gang shows with Ebonics and they use subtitles too. So i know i am not unique. When they need subtitles to understand, to me that is sad. No wonder so many don't graduate school. They are taught proper English. But refuse. Their choice not to be part of society. I don't know many that would hire someone they could not communicate with. And sounds illiterate. That limits them to few opportunities. Dye your hair purple spike it, tattoo your face and pierce it all over. Might get the same result. But guess what. You chose to be different, you did it to yourself. Don't act surprised when you are treated different. When you strive so hard for the effect. I did it when young too, long hair, ripped cloths, bad attitude. I got what i looked for. To stand out. Stand out with accomplishments. Not an extreme look or presence to cause attention. You may not like the attention. You made your bed, sleep in it. You have no problem with that. More power to you. Good luck succeeding in life though. a reply to: Sremmos80

This has to be my worst pun so far.

How much do i hate that word of bro

Now i freely admit not being some Oxford graduate or posh git, but every time i hear somebody say ``you alrite bro``
it just comes across as so lazy and slob like a sentence to use

What the heck has become of the English language that it is butchered by people with their ``innit mate``

and `` bro, bro`` bs.. i mean heck they arent even words!!

I enjoyed your rant. I'll share how I rant my hatred of bro. My bro hatred gets much more mellow dramatic.

" I am a woman. I have a uterus, I have been pregnant, given birth, breast feed and went through all the embarrassing lack of modesty those required of me.,"

If I'm feeling playful I quote Toni BraxtonWoman
I'm a woman
A woman with a heart
And I deserve your all
I'm not some girl who don't know what she wants
I'm a woman
And I need to be touched
And I need to be loved
'cause being just your woman is not enough

This tends to make my feelings about bro very clear. Lots of luck!

Yes, I realize I'm a very boring person. Linguistics actually interests me because I used to speak like Elmer Fud before speech pathology. Honestly, I still do when I'm drunk or tired.

Words are not stationary they morph and adapt.

Sis, cool your jets. I'd never call you a bro, because you are simply not a bro.

You see only Bros, are Bros. Who are sometimes also dudes, or guys it's a completely complex dynamic.

Girls on the other hand can not be bros, unless of course they are trans, or butch lesbians then they could in that case be honorary bros if they were down with it.

What it is.

Feel me sis?

Bruh, I think you're getting a little molesty there. I hate to use such a harsh variation of the aforementioned noun, how ever you broham have crossed the line.

Sexual harassment is no joke, and a ladies undergarments are between her and her blouse.

Alright woman. Whatever you say,

I know, its not easy being a grill

ahhh, you mustn't get out much , i mean seriously, with everything going on and your biggest gripe is how people convey themselves through their verbal communication technique, and the fact most of us, take hutch and i for instance being from Australia live in multicultural society's and we just roll with it, the mish mash boiling pot of the english language is something you get used to.
must drive your OCD cray cray!!! lol

Why is it that my 23yr old niece is laughing her ass off after reading that.
Is it because of "derailing hard"?

BTT:
Niece says: Stop looking down on everyone kayleigh, you´re not that much educated in life, (neither am I).
I say: What she said, except the "neither am I" part

I dont have a problem with "bro" with my close biker mates as it is a brotherhood and it rarely gets used, and no one out that circle has ever called me bro, but in the the uk the jafaken youth have taken it a step further to an annoying level and instead of "bro"...it has become "Bra"

A'right bra?
