All of which applied to join as independent nations who can decide on their own. One has to wonder why they were so keen - probably had something to do with ensuring they would be free from the yoke of oppression they had just got rid of.

As for the Eastern portion of Ukraine - that isn't a sovereign nation, so a fail there for you.

Nations had to apply to NATO. NATO has standards and kept them waiting. NATO = Success.

Which democratic nations applied to join the Warsaw Pact after 1991? Oh right, nobody! Warsaw Pact = Fail.

Right, they have to apply to join before they actually join. Was trying to keep my reply simple.

People can’t be talked out of illusions. If a person believes that the earth is flat, you can’t talk him out of that, he knows that it’s flat. He’ll go down to the window and see that its obvious, it looks flat. So the only way to convince him that it isn’t is to say, ‘Well let’s go and find the edge.’
~Alan Watts

So then, I am not going to try to convince you. As your ego would defend itself till the last breath.

Let's enjoy the morning tea though

You cant answer the question either. How appropriate... Instead you do all you can to avoid the topic and go personal.

if you guys would stop making false claims and then doing all you can to avoid the lie you just told we would not need to go in circles.

On the off chance you decide to answer the question let me know.
