it's the same thing as the "advisors" arrive in Ukraine or Syria or Libya .... are you getting it?

There are training exercises around the world involving various different allies every year. Russia engages in training exercises regularly too.
Lets not forget the MASSIVE "training exercise" the Russians had right on the border with Ukraine last year, or is it only a problem when it's the "evil West"?

As we know from years of Alex Jones screaming about every drill and training exercise supposedly being "proof" of "WORLD WAR THREE!!!!!11111" and "MASSIVE FEMA TAKEOVER!!!!!!111111" this is nothing by hyperbolic nonsense from paranoid minds.

Besides, given that Russia has invaded another country and stolen a chunk of land, it's entirely right and entirely predictable that NATO would begin to increase defensive measures in the region. This is a given, it's not a conspiracy to say that an organization whose job it is to protect Europe from a threat is doing its job.

You are really missing the Whole point. Just like the Public does.

And it seems your are to, because it is wrong for NATO to do training, but it is okay for Russia to do the same...you really missed the point.

The Public sees Russia as an agressor,

When you invade your neighbors that is usually how you will be seen.

The thing is, that it is not Ok for Russia to do the same. NATO have protested against Russian training Close to Ukraine, lativa, Poland, Norway, Portugal and Turkey.

But i have not heard much from Russia that US NATO do B2 and B52 flyby Close to the the Northern boarder to Russia.
Neither that 9000 NATO troops conducted a NATO training of Greenland before christmass. Not even you knew about this.

Because NATO training in NATO countries aren't something that doesn't happen all the time, but when you start training that close to a war that you helped and keep help running there should be something said.

Have NATO troops crossed over to fight in Russia...because they (Russian troops) have done so in Ukraine, which is why you have the protests?

Because they don't have to do that, whereas the Russians think they have to project their power the US and NATO don't feel the need to do so.

Do you feel you need to know every time NATO or any country for that matter does military drills...because I don't and it doesn't bother me one bit.

Russia is training inside its own borders. NATO troops (indeed US troops in the OP) are occupiers of these colonies. I doubt very much it is with the peoples consent. Any more than you would welcome foreign armies on your soil.

Feel free to support the occupier of these colonies comments. Simply making up labels and throwing them out there does not make them true and for you to make this comment smacks of desperation.

As Russia told the west when they complained about Russia training being held near borders the west should tell Russia.

They will gold military exercises where they see fit considering its being done in a sovereign nation.

As we have explained earlier, this is a silent build up of an army close to the frontline.
This has to long through enormously long stages of preparations.
You have to do it step by step, step by step so you don't make too much noise around it and you don't alarm the general population.
You do it slowly, using these drills as a cover-up, so the citizens won't notice and once they do notice, it's a li'l too late.

aaaah

Really occupiers...NATO forces train in a NATO country which is no different than RUssia training in their own country.

And yet we do...

Not later than January 31 of each year, the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of State shall jointly prepare and submit to the appropriate congressional committees a report on all military training provided to foreign military personnel by the Department of Defense and the Department of State during the previous fiscal year and all such training proposed for the current fiscal year.

What silent buildup are you talking about?

The only Army build up near the front line is Russia, The US sends troops to other countries all the time to train their armed forces and you know why...because they know they get the best training.

You do it slowly, using these drills as a cover-up, so the citizens won't notice and once they do notice, it's a li'l too late.

Or you do it because the host country feels they need to learn better tactics that help you when needed...something the US has done for many years with many countries...do some research on how and why the US sends advisers and troops to other countries for training.

Bah, its not sovereign if foreign (US) troops occupy its soil. But I'm used to the double talk associated with US troop movements around the world. Everyone wants to be occupied by them is a lie.

You can still call it defense if you like. Russia isn't attacking Slovakia.

If you paid just as much attention to what NATO do as you do towards Russia and what they do. You would know that the US have sent 100 tanks and other hardware to Poland. UK and US have send Eurofighter and F-18 to Latvia. 29 000 troops to Germany and a large build up in Belgium and Italy.

There is no "silent buildup" - NATO has been open and candid about deployments, exercises etc. Even when it comes down to the creation of the rapid reaction brigades as a result of Russian aggression, they have been open about what makeup they will have, their mission and where they are being based.

Russia, on the other hand, holds exercises while stirring up trouble in it's neighbour, releases little detail about those exercises, denies they are prelude to any invasion, then invades while denying it despite all the evidence to the contrary.

Is is a stealth deplyment because they say its just a drill, but not that the deployment is permanent rotation as long as there is a conflict on the Balkans.

I'll add to that - the UK has had recently an entire armoured Battlegroup.. A whole 700 men with around 100 armoured vehicles in Poland. Wow!

Compare this to the Russian exercises of 150,000 troops, with around 880 tanks, 90 combat aircraft and 1,200 artillery pieces (including MLR systems) and you can see the relatively small NATO build-up is a drop in the Ocean.

Putin ordered to “test combat readiness of troops in dealing with crisis situations that threaten the military security of the country, as well as with antiterrorist, sanitary and epidemiological, or technogenic situations,” Shoigu said.

According to the Defense Minister, the drill, which started at 14:00 GMT, will be held from February 26 until March 3 in two stages. The second stage involves an opposing-force exercise with the participation of Russia’s Northern and Baltic fleet and bomb strike drills.

Some 150,000 troops, 90 aircraft, over 120 helicopters, 880 tanks and 1,200 pieces of military hardware will be involved in the drills, deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov said Wednesday.

There is nothing stealthy about it. NATO countries, such as the UK, have been open about such deployments and their mission - like I said. They are there to reassure allies and the Brigades created are there to respond to any attempt by Russia to encroach upon NATO member's sovereignty.

As long as Russia doesn't do that, the chances of them fighting NATO soldiers is minimal. If Russia does decide to try and stir up trouble in, say, Latvia or Estonia and send in troops to support "rebels", they will be met with force by these very Brigades.

Nothing "stealthy" about it.

What you are saying is based upon the dogma that Russia is going to attack the EU, or just basically upon the fact that Russia is a sort of threat.

After everything that has happened and considering us as fairly open-minded informed ATS users, we can safely assume that it's a blatant lie.

Putin is the one who invaded Ukraine.
Putin is the one who invaded Georgia.
Putin is the one who fought 2 wars in Chechnya.
Putin is the one who has soldiers in Transnistria.
Abkhazia...
South Ossetia....
Putin is the one who said he could take Kiev in a few weeks.

Putin is the one how has stated he could take several NATO capitals in a few weeks.
Putin is the one who holds war games on Ukraine's order and tells everyone else its none of their business. That same standard applies in reverse.

Everything Putin is now bitching about with regards to NATO is a direct result of Putins actions. Prior to his actions NATO had no forces in Poland. The only deployment by NATO was to the 3 Baltic nations and that is because they don't have an air force.
